Felix of the Volturi, circa 180 AD
Requested by @volturisecretary, @statticghost and multiple anons (like wow why I didn't do this before)
The specific type of gladiator he is is called a Retiarius, who would fight with a weighted net, a three-pointed trident, and a dagger. The medusa head used here is the one I created as an alternate/earlier version to the movie crest.
Okay headcanon time: So in my version, see, Athenadora too was a gladiator (a “gladiatrix”), but born almost a century earlier than Felix, during the earlier years of the Roman Empire. As the tension with the Romanians Dacians rose, she choose one of the gladiators the clan sponsored at the time (as politicly ambitious patricii who looked for some nice investment would, hence the crest on the belt and the cloak-ish thing) as a bodyguard. Because of their shared past, Athena and Felix remained good friends for centuries and this partially contributed Felix’ permanent place among the guard. *looks at the guide still burning in the corner*

Ok, i’m aware how this relationship… ends up in canon. Not in my AU, thou. Hah. Cheers for for the bro-sis team that united the Mediterranean covens, lead an army against, not one but, two tyrannical vampire covens. Much better.

Demetri of the Volturi, c.1830.
one (1) proud greek vampire boi with a fancy farion, requested by @volturisecretary. A Farion (φάριον) is a cap made from red baize with a long black silk tassel that is the part of the uniform of the Evzonoi (the historical elite light infantry units of the Greek Army, today the Presidential Guard) which is derived from the garb the klephts who fought the Ottoman occupation of Greece. This one is a bit fancier than the usual, because i got my reference from a painting (our boi is fancy).

Truth vs. Twilight

In collaboration with the Quileute Tribe, this site seeks to inform Twilight fans, parents, teachers, and others about the real Quileute culture, which indeed has a wolf origin story, a historic relationship with the wolf as demonstrated in songs, stories, and various art forms, as well as a modern, multi-dimensional community with a sophisticated governance system. We also hope to offer a counter narrative to The Twilight Saga’s stereotypical representations of race, class, and gender, and offer resources for a more meaningful understanding of Native American life and cultures.

OKAY OKAY OKAY i’ve needed to have the discussion with someone. I literally do not get why people headcanon that Felix plays video games and is this giant bashful grown man when he literally rips other vampires apart for a living. It’s so out of character for the Volturi, I honestly think they would look down upon anything like video games or social media. I don’t think they would view it as “refined” or “philosophical”. It most likely developed from people just associating him with Emmett, but i personally don’t think they are that much alike what so ever. Felix isn’t as spontaneous as Emmett and thinks out situations (shown in eclipse as he was probably being the most reasonable guard) for example and Felix is much more disciplined and less rebellious. I know people are allowed to have their headcanons but for me personally every time i see it IT JUST GRINDS MY GEARS. What’s your take on it?
I AGREE, like while i love the idea of felix getting heated over mario kart, it just isnt realistic! Felix doesnt have the humanity that Emmett has. I'd love Felix to have some secret gamer, frat boy vibes underneath his tough guarded exterior but thats probably not the case. Now that's not to say the man doesn't have a soft side, but it's probably more centered around philosophy or (like you said) more refined things. I feel like somebody as old as Felix doesn't want to waste time on Call of Duty or Minecraft, thats just not who he is.
By trying to give Felix these different traits, we lose out on what he really is, on what his true personality is. It waters him down. Whether we like it or not, Felix kills and has killed thousands of people with absolutely zero remorse. He doesnt feel bad when he does it, he likes to do it. Felix isnt a bright funny character like Emmett is, and alot of times (I'll even catch myself doing it) Felix (and volturi fans in general) try to make the characters into something they arent. Like you said, everyone can have their own headcanons but when you do that, you can often lose out on a lot of what the character was meant to be.
This isnt to say that Felix and the rest of the gang are just entirely these evil vampires. They most definitely have softer more chill sides. I think Felix is definitely into sword fighting, horseback riding, writing poetry, and ballroom dancing. But a) he wouldn't let many people see it and b) these are much more refined hobbies that someone his age would enjoy.
(Also the whole headcanon that lots of people have that if you were mated to one of the volturi but were scared of being a vampire they would let you stay human for a few more months after is BS, youd be turned on the spot and would find out the tea after the fact just saying 😂)

Count Dracula is the title character of Bram Stoker’s 1897 gothic horror novel Dracula. He is considered to be both the prototypical and the archetypal vampire in subsequent works of fiction. The character has appeared frequently in popular culture, from films to animated media.

A Continuation With My No Nuance November Twilight Take
Carlisle’s savior complex is so fucked up and has effected Rosalie and Edward so negatively
Jacob is the most distasteful character in the entire saga he’s not interesting what so ever and should have never been written in
Charlie wasn’t a great father and people need to acknowledge that but that doesn’t make him a terrible person unlike Renee he just didn’t have the time with Bella to develop fatherly skill
New Moon was the best film in the entire saga
Orange Tint from New Moon > The Blue Tint
Catherine Hardwickes directive style wasn’t that great in the first twilight movie honestly it’s kinda overrated
The wigs in Eclipse weren’t bad
Jasper and Carlisle were the only Cullens with compelling back stories
The fact that Jasper came from the Confederacy adds to his character and demonstrates how much Alice effected him and has helped him discover his true self she helped him understand he is not the evil he was born and raised into and that he can be good and none of that would have occurred if Jasper had been a part of the Union it was important to his story line that he be part of the wrong side of the Civil War
No Nuance November Twilight Edition ~
- Bella and Edward were enemies to lovers.
- The gothic themes of this 2005 book series are a lot more potent than people realize.
- Bella’s outfits were not that bad.
- Rosalie is not free from criticism, I understand she is a notable character for the misogyny and abuse that she faced. But, she still needs to be analyzed in a critical light.
- New Moon was one of the best movies alongside twilight it was just missing the quirks, and low budget.
- Eclipse (movie) could have been top tier, but it took a weird Hollywood direction.
- Bella and Jacob had zero romantic chemistry ever.
- I do not find the rest of the Cullens side stories compelling at all.
- I understand that logically high school was a weird choice for the Cullens, but I think it adds a layer of playful youth to it. And it would not have been able to garner the same attention that it did.

“So ready for this to be the end,” he murmured, almost to himself, “for this to be the twilight of your life, though your life has barely started. You’re ready to give up everything.“ “It’s not the end, it’s the beginning,” I disagreed under my breath. – TWILIGHT
Tonight the sky was utterly black. Perhaps there was no moon tonight–a lunar eclipse, a new moon. A new moon. I shivered, though I wasn’t cold. – NEW MOON
The corner of my mouth turned up in a wistful half-smile. I used to think of you that way, you know. Like the sun. My personal sun. You balanced the clouds nicely for me.” He sighed. “The clouds I can handle. But I can’t fight with an eclipse.” – ECLIPSE
And the sharp memories perfectly recalled: his face when I’d opened my eyes to my new life, to the endless dawn of immortality… that first kiss… that first night… – BREAKING DAWN
