I literally don't know where else to post these... I've been a dead blog for awhile now but I've been struggling with body positivity for quite a long time now. I've been working on my diet and going to the gym lately and I finally feel attractive again after years of feeling gross and ugly. Being a Type 1 Diabetic makes it especially hard to put on any kind of muscle or weight and it feels great to finally have some kind of control over how I look. Falling in love with yourself is very hard work but it's the most worthwhile thing I have ever done for myself.

How to tell that it's getting bad again:
- I sleep to much or not at all -I eat too much or too little -I sound disinterested in everything -Be spaced out a lot - I will ramble a lot or not talk at all -I lose track of time - I make cynical comments, usually about myself -I push people away -I tend to rub my eyes and head a lot -I avoid eye contact -I am always shakey -I will avoid certain conversations

Don't let witchcraft erase who you are
Don’t become dependent on tarot readings to make decisions
Don’t feel like the day is ruined if you left the house without drawing your card for the day
Don’t feel helpless if you can’t figure out a spell to help
Don’t rely on witchcraft alone to improve your relationships
Don’t forget how to speak out because you can hex at home
Don’t forget how to be confident without a candle spell
Don’t forget to discover for yourself because there are so many free resources online
Don’t get panicky if you can’t explain it with your new beliefs
Don’t lose your friends because they don’t understand the new you
Don’t avoid going out with friends so you can buy more herbs and candles instead
Don’t give up your other hobbies to practice endless energy work or divination
Don’t neglect your job or studies to read witchcraft books instead
Don’t ask yourself ‘what would a witch do’. Ask yourself, ‘what would I do’.
Witchcraft is an enhancement to life, not a replacement for life.
And do not…DO NOT…rely on healing magic as a replacement for therapy, medication, or medical treatment!
Cannot count how many questions I get asking for spells of that sort. I’ve gotten dizzy from shaking my head so often.

The Imbolc of America
A deep sense of dread has permeated the United States within the last couple of days.  Our dear president has cast his shadow farther and quicker than many originally thought was possible.  Unfortunately, that shadow has fallen over the heads of millions of innocents. They fear for their lives.  They fear for their families’ lives.  They fear for strangers’ lives.  They fear for life.  But today is Imbolc, and it has a very specific message that American witches should heed.  Imbolc is the day of hope.  When the land has been consumed in winter, and the frost has reached its icy cold talons into the heart of the Earth, a glimmer of light appears at the horizon.  The sun has begun to rise.  Light is on its way.  This darkness cannot last forever. The stronger and faster the dark, the stronger and faster the light will come.  Soon, it will burn on our horizon.  Just remember to look for it.

Not that anyone asked, but here I am as an 80's rockstar with my GF and her family (also in 80's garb). I will never be any gayer than I was on this day. (Maybe except for that one time I was in drag at my haunted house)

Hey! I have to tell you all about this amazing app I came across today while looking through tarot creators’ accounts.
This app is called Labyrinthos Academy, from the creator of the Golden Thread tarot and Luminous Spirit Deck! It’s a matching activity app that teaches you the meanings of the 78 tarot cards, both right side up and reversed.
It’s completely free and the only commitment to the app is making an account in order to use it. From there, you choose whether you’re a witch, a wizard, or a mage (I’m assuming it’s female/male/non-binary), and you learn the meanings using a digital version of the Golden Thread tarot deck. Every time you pass a lesson, you get somewhere between 3-5 cards that you can study! As you complete more lessons, your little character levels up and gains some cute new attire.
I’ve been trying to learn tarot for such a long time, but everything was too messy and complicated for me. Labyrinthos Academy has been, by far, the easiest way for me to learn! The cards have an easy-to-read font and the illustrations match the adjectives so well that it’s easy to make the connection and remember.
It’s available for iOS and Android! And remember–it’s free! I’m in no way affiliated with the app or the tarot cards (nor their creator); I don’t even have a single tarot deck myself! But I wanted to share this so other witches who were struggling like me had a place to learn!

Honestly just want to live in the woods and have a small society of pagans and witches and stuff where we share everything and are self dependant and just can be free of this world's bullshit and love eachother and have feasts and be naked and have celebrations and basically be hippies forever. TL;DR: I want to live in a real world shire.

Why put a curse on someone anyway? Why not? You’re tried everything else. You’ve asked nicely. You’ve been patient, willing to compromise. You’ve been so relentlessly reasonable–and so fed up!–you feel like a pushover. Now you’ve been shut out altogether. So, try a curse! It’s cheaper than a lawsuit and more civilized than punching someone out. (And you probably won’t have to explain it to the police.

A Witch’s Guide to Herbalism: Wormwood
Wormwood (Artemisia Absinthium) is another very powerful magical herb, very closely related with Mugwort, so this will be quite similar to my Mugwort post. As you may have guessed from the scientific name, Wormwood was one of the main ingredients in the alcoholic beverage, Absinthe. The latin Absinthium comes from the ancient greek word apsínthion, which some claim translates to “Undrinkable”, referencing the herb’s extreme bitter flavor. Like Mugwort, it is toxic and a bit more so than Mugwort so do not use if pregnant or consistently for longer than one week. This herb is a lot more dangerous than other herbs I recommend, so use one tablespoon OR LESS per cup of liquid you are using if you are going to ingest it.
Magical Uses
Wormwood is similarly powerful, but often forgotten, cousin of Mugwort, though it does have a few special abilities. Here is a list of magical properties…
Love
Protection
Psychic Abilities
Due to Wormwood’s association with Absinthe, and alcohol’s association with reducing inhibitions and inducing lust, wormwood has long been considered a love herb. Wormwood also has been recorded as a Hex-protection herb and wards off negative magic. Of course, one can mix this herb with mugwort and burn it to help with visions, meditation, speaking with spirits, et cetera.
Medical Uses
Wormwood’s medicinal uses are as follows…
Expels Worms
Stimulates Appetite & Helps Digestion
Anti-Inflammatory
Wormwood get’s its name from its ability to remove worms from the body. The herb is often mixed with water or alcohol to create a bitter tonic, which can help fight fevers and digestive issues.
