Hi y’all, I just remembered I can post this over here too, I don’t have a lot of followers, but it can’t hurt.

I’m a trans civil rights attorney focused on the intersection of queer rights and state-church separation. I haven’t had full time employment since August of 2024, and while I had savings and have had part time and freelance work, I finally hit a point where I got a 5 day pay or quit notice before my landlord files an eviction. I’m trying to prevent that from even getting filed, because anyone with any kind of experience with it will tell you that even having one on your record can destroy your ability to get a lease in the future for a really long time. I’ve had job interviews and have some coming up, but the market is just shit right now and my income is really inconsistent.

This sucks and I absolutely hate having to do it, and if you’re going to be mean to me about it, just don’t, I’ve already been mean enough to myself for all of us. I also know we’re all passing around the same $20 bill so I don’t want anyone to feel pressure or bad if they cannot help.

If you can help, we’re really close to the “don’t get evicted this week” goal- even $5 can go a long way! Any donations past that initial goal will go towards keeping me current on rent moving forward while I am interviewing for jobs.
