Me and my little brother pestered my mom to go outside and play, and I found out recently that the only reason she didnt let us was because there were water moccasains in the water.

Ironically i was fishing last year at a lake, and there was a water moccasain in it, and it was approaching us. My mom stepped back with my siblings, but i'm both not scared of snakes and STUPID so i kneeled down and admired it WITH cooing noises until my mom pulled me back LMAO.
