Hello swifties so remastering is the process where older songs are updated for their production to sound more modernized, basically it is a digital update to the quality of the track.

Re-recording is doing the ENTIRE song over again from scratch. Vocals and all production, re-recording all the instruments, mixing etc

Taylor is not remastering her albums, she is doing a full re-record. I am seeing a lot of posts confusing the two terms and talking about remastered versions, and I think it would be important for us to not refer to the new songs as remastered, because her undertaking is so so so so much more and bigger than a remastering is

remember when shawn released the lover remix with taylor and talking aboiut how amazing she was, then the next day taylor had her master’s stolen from her by scooter and he remained silent but had the time to go on an instagram live with her abusive ex-boyfriend and let him belittle her work…. then a year later… the day her maters get re-sold again, shawn announces he has a song coming out with one of scooter’s clients…………. fuck that guy so hard dude

you know what this really shows about scooter, besides the fact that he’s an incredibly stupid and incompetent business man? this was all about personally going after Taylor and the one thing she cares about, her music, and to take away her power. not about the money at all. he could have simply just sold it back to her and gotten more money, but in fact he was fine with loosing a lot of it. he bought her masters out from under her, refused to even remotely begin negotiations with her to gain them back until he could gain complete control over her voice and permanently silence her. he used an tactic that taylor’s lawyers themselves said was a classic move by abusers to silence victims.

when he realized (far too late) that this was a bad business idea and that he was loosing money fast, he sold taylor’s masters to a random investor group to make it look like he was no longer responsible for or in charge of it, when in reality he was still pulling the strings behind the certain… actively trying to hide his evil moves and blame them on someone else, like a child getting caught stealing cookies out of the jar. he did all of this instead of just giving them back to taylor, because that means he would no longer have control over her and that just isnt an option for him i guess?

he has tried to silence this women, who has never done anything to him might i add, multiple times. first in 2016 with kanye, then with buying her masters, now with re-selling them and making her sign an NDA to never speak ill of him in public for the rest of her life… and that’s just the situations we know about. fuck scooter braun for making it his life’s mission to silence this women. fuck all of his clients for actively working and thereby supporting this man. fuck the artists who stood by him when this news all broke. fuck this. taylor is gonna re-release all of her old music and show them what it’s like to be a good at your job and how business is really done, and i can’t wait to see how hard they hit the ground.
