Tom Eyto*, the NPC from the recently added Devastated Fields in Wabbit island is listed as Non-binary. **

(1. * I would make a big deal out of the name if this wasn’t the average mmo npc name.

2. * Ignore the Bonta Emblem; it’s just there because this server’s Bonta controls this particular territory rn due to politics and pvp gameplay.)

They are also consistently reffered to with they / them pronouns in the narration boxes.

if you read these, you may have questions. I am here to reassure you that this is normal wakfu mmo behaviour.

Here’s an unexpected follow up; as I was looking through the French wakfu forums, I found an interview with BenK, the game’s level designer that was done by a fan and published on the forums.

There’s some fun, insightful info in there (particularly if you know French or use a translator), but I want to focus on one question in particular:

I have been playing Wakfu in the monoacc servers with some friends and having a blast, so here's some doodles of my in-game character and some attempts to flesh her out, plus an artistic rendition of every dungeon my friends and I ever do (AKA, they butt heads while i perish)

Just some hours ago, we got a crossword to solve in the latest announcement. Took a crack at it. All first letters combined should give a code that can be redeemed for some rewards.

Oh I do. However my win to loss ratio is pathetically bad. I’d say there are a few reasons for that which are too long winded to delve into here, but I still derive joy from coming up with pvp builds and stuff (I’ve been mulling over an unholy distance poison pandawa build during my spare time)

Still like it tho, and I’m always down for a battle :)

opnion on sadidia rework?

I’ll be honest, I’m very behind on checking out the class reworks… Steamer rework is still “new” to me. Yeah. That’s how behind I am QQ

I‘ve mostly been chilling with my Pandawa and exploring the new maps.

Was rambling about the Wakfu MMO yet again and ended up drawing Pandora. I am so normal about her quest lines dude trust me. Full art under cut.

You can initiate combat in the basement of Brakmar's tavern, with the fight itself taking place inside of the ring.

As a second fun fact, during pvp, an eliotrope’s portals will be red if they initiated the fight, matching the red color of the elio’s squares during the placement phase.

Lore question: was excarnating simply dying or the soul stopping to exist? I haven't read the lore in a good while and I couldn't find the answer.. Love this blog btw

From the info I can gather from the game, it seems to be the opposite of incarnation: the act of the soul leaving the body.

Since this ask was sent during the time the Olavrann post went up (a bit late of a response, apologies!), here is some additional info you could get from asking Otomai that shed some light on the excarnation / incarnation cycle and what exactly happened to Olavrann.
