I haven’t been real active lately, been struggling a bit mentally. I’m feeling really insecure, almost like I’m second guessing myself and my identity and my transition. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of resources out there for middle aged transmen like me, especially newly-realised transmen. I feel like my family don’t believe me, or that I’m doing it for attention - everyone thinks that I “should have known” I was trans at an earlier age, or how can I “suddenly decide” that I’m transgender...

Community resources seem to be geared towards younger guys or adolescents and I can’t find a support group or something similar that caters to my age group... most are “LGBT youth 12-25 years” and there’s nothing specific for the older community - do they think we have it all together? I’m still learning how to “boy” at 43 and it’s actually harder because I lived as a woman for so long...

Sometimes I think I should just stop transitioning and go back to how I was to make it easier on everyone else... especially my husband, who keeps *insisting* that he’s not gay...
