A warm and sunny Christmas celebration on the beach in Queenstown. It was like a music festival... people as far as the eye can see, music blasting, beverages flowing freely, and the best part of all was meeting so many different people. I found myself holding random conversations with pretty much anyone standing near me. It was a lovely day and if you travel NZ I recommend considering spending your next Christmas in Queenstown (South Island).

As an American living in New Zealand for a year (It’s been roughly 3 months thus far), I have seen many different breathtaking landscapes that will forever be ingrained in my mind’s eye. This picture is at Mt. Cook, a must-see for travelers in NZ.
I recently had to come home to Florida, USA to say goodbye to a passing family member. It’s been difficult... but it is almost time to return to my new home in Christchurch, NZ. I will post along the way (I have a 9 hour layover in Sydney and will hopefully be able to share some pics from that excursion) but overall I intend for this blog to be an outlet for me to share other people’s stories. I am curious about people’s experiences traveling and living abroad. Each adventure and hardship experienced while traveling I believe adds a new stone to the building block of our uniqueness and character- what makes you, you! While back in New Zealand I am going to interview people living from around the world and share their hopes, fears, accomplishments, and dreams with you!
If while reading this you are inspired and think of an awesome story you have from being abroad, please feel free to share and I’ll re-post it!
