Some things that I just haven't written that I headcanon regarding Jarrod's Dark Souls verse:
Shadows Under Oolacile (his DLC arc) is the major turning point in his story for him. One of his closest friends will inevitably end up stuck in the distant past, and there is nothing he can do about it. As one of the Chosen Undead, he will start to falter on his path truly, here.
August is involved with how Jarrod ends up a statue in Drangleic.
Jarrod may not have been the Lord of Dark as some higher powers may have been guiding him towards, in his time in Lordran, but he is definitely a pawn in the long-game of certain gods (Velka and Fina).
By Dark Souls 3, Jarrod's name is still in Gwyndolin's book and is hunted by the Blades, because even if this is not the same Gwyndolin he knew, he still committed the act of Deicide in his timeline, along with the murder of a Firekeeper.
In a way, I think Jarrod slaying Aldrich would be an interesting moment for him, because even if he does not remember it, Gwyndolin is the one who forged The Blade that became Jarrod. Jarrod may have become "broken" by his love for Rose, but even a broken blade could still cause harm.
Jarrod's tendency to "ride off into the sunset" really begins in Drangleic. When everything is said and done, he and Rose leave and go on their own adventures that eventually culminates in them forming the Court of Roses.
Dark Souls III's Ringed City arc ends with a "Ride off into the sunset," imo as well.

Jarrod 10 years ago:
Farmer with a sword. Somehow survives 3 apocalypses.
Jarrod now:
Farmer, husband, swordsman, wanderer, survivor. Blessed of the Goddess of Love (Fina) , and has a rival who would do this to him in battle:
One day I'll finish ER's DLC and properly write the continuation of Jarrod's saga. I just feel low motivation to actually play that DLC currently, lol.

I made a post about this when I started RPing for Elden Ring, but... I am actually a bit emotional looking back on this. This is my first interaction with Rosemun, and just... I do feel a little sad because I have become more reclusive over the years. I find it harder to reach out to people like this nowadays.
But much like Jarrod back then, I never thought that my friendship with her would become so deep. We live together, now, and honestly have done a lot of things we'd not have done alone.
And like Rose for Jarrod, Rosemun honestly has made my life such a happier thing--even if we have our moments.
Even though our 10 years is in a few months... no harm in celebrating early with the birth of the ship that started it all.

"S'... really been awhile, hasn' it, Rosalind?" the wanderer chuckled, looking at the familiar surroundings. How many people had come and gone, since that day? He glanced over from their small bonfire to the nondescript patch of grass that held no meaning to anyone.
It held no meaning except for Jarrod.
Back then, he had no direction to his travels, only to where he was likely survive. The path he took to this land had been treacherous and filled with peril. Not from man, but from the environment. He had come up from the dark path over yonder, and he could still remember the cold autumn breeze that hit his face just moments before he collapsed.
“Are you awake, my friend? Can you hear me?”
The first words of an angel who had come for him. Slowly, he turned his head to face her, just as he always did. Round face framed by soft, brunette hair tied into a bun, slate blue eyes, and freckles dotting her cheeks... He was staring again, smiling like the young farmer he was back then.
That day was so clear, even now...
She had not changed one bit, and his love for her had not diminished. It had grown, in fact. And he knew the woman he called his wife as if she were the back of his own hand.
Her past.
Her likes.
Her struggles.
Every curve. Every scar. Every freckle.
He knew of them, and she knew of him.
"I haven' done it in a long time, but... when I imagine life without 'cha, I get real sad," he remarked, looking down to the soup she had made for them. "Not only 'cause yer m' heart, but if I ain't never met y'... I'd've been left in darkness. Goin' down a path that'd've ended years ago." His calloused fingers entwined with hers. "I've y' t' thank fer that. M' strength, m' courage... m' determination. S'all 'cause y' inspired me."
Back then he was okay with her not loving him. They were best friends. She was a "noble," he thought. It could never work. But he was dumb--he was always not the smartest when it came to his worries.
"I love y', Rosalind. An' I ain't never gonna leave y'."

In which subtle way do you say 'I love you'?
"are you sure you're okay?"
you wear your heart on your sleeve. you're probably the first to tell a person you love them in an unsubtle way -- because you love them, and they deserve to know it! maybe you're not entirely open about what you feel all the time (it depends on the situation and the person you're with) but you're generally comfortable around emotions. your own and others' -- and you'll make sure to encourage the people you love to be honest about how they feel, too. you'll check in with them to make sure they're okay, and you know your closed-off loved ones well enough to check in with them again when they've assured you that yes, they're fine, don't worry. because guess what? you'll happily worry about them, and they'll get it in the end. your love is the healing type; you're patching up scars you might not even know exist.
