i honestly hadn't thought abt it that much just bc i interpreted the GT 5 dream convo as implying her parents intentionally weakened her magic - but then again i think prometheus pointed out that this wouldn't make sense given how happy her dad is when she does produce flowers sooooooooooo

i am casting my vote for either diarchy (bc aetherphage 100%) or alternatively ALSO protectorate, bc i think Rafa's mum is connected to the protectorate somehow..... and i want any kind of mess that gets me ship content!!!!

Gilded Thrones Theories Episodes 4-5

Something occurred to me and I don’t know if it’s right but it would be sooo interesting the chaos it would cause if true.

What if Dulcamara’s other parent is from the Protecterate this came to me when Dulcamara’s mother said that her not being in the coven wasn’t an option and this could apply in a few different cases.

If Dulcamara’s other parent is from the kingdom this wouldn’t be a problem due to the fact the kingdom and the coven are already friendly the union between Argia and Federico is just solidifying it. So to me this rules out the kingdom.

However things get tricky from here:

Imperium: This feels very messy and would completely change the game if true, If Dulcamara other parent is from the Imperium I imagine hell would actually freeze over. The coven and the imperium are fighting over the holy land and have been for awhile the idea of a child of two nations adding to it would be so interesting and it would make sense if Dulcamara’s mother didn’t want her in the Imperium with everything they have going on.

Diarchy: Okay, this is probably the reveal I am banking on is probably the one I think the most with the information currently available. We know the Diarchy has a weird relationship with the coven and with magic so the idea that Dulcamara’s potential Diarchy blood may have caused her weaker affinity for magic is so fascinating.

Protectorate: This I believe in strictly for the mess of it, and since we know the Bards are messy I would never rule this out. It would also add to a potential vendetta against the Imperium. Like what if Dulcamara’s other parent was from the protectorate and Dulcamara was born a few months or a a year before the annexation and than the Imperium violently annexes the Protectorate killing her other parent the plot would be so interesting I truly can’t wait.

Also, The drama of the fact that Dulcamara is the middle child which means she was conceived when in theory Dulcamara’s mother was already married due to Melveera and Dulcamara being apart in age.

Also Melveera and Mercy!!!!??? EXCUSE ME

The Sum-up of this is that we’re not making it to that wedding unscathed people not at all.

There's something about Decima and Garavellir's story in Regolus: Dark Age that will make me crazy FOREVER, and we finally have the last piece!

I cannot believe that a little guest slot where I was just supposed to drop in and be a bit of a miniboss spun up into a 3 (well 4, counting Will as Decima in ep36) episode arc, followed by 4 audio vignettes and some *very* interesting cliffhangers going into the next Book. Anyway, I just wanted to shout out and thank the Bards of New York and their absolutely LOVELY community for this story. It's more dear to me than I can properly put to words.

Everyone go watch this and comment so I can bully them into letting me come back in a year to cause exponentially more chaos.

Love the concept of Bad Thing that provides protection from Even Worse Thing. This villan has dibs on killing me someday, so they’re not going to let anyone else do it. Person has a permanent illness that’s super hostile to any other type of infection. Lawful evil tyrant absolutely PISSED at chaotic evil invader killing their subjects. Person has been cursed by the gods but the curse supersedes all other hexes and magical ills. This shit absolutely charges my batteries.

i love the theory that Dulcamara is doing so bc she's going to steal his magic/hers is weaker - hence she made a big deal abt looking for an equal and hence her spreading the rumour that he's lost his magic already...

things that happened 20 ISH yrs ago include: the annexation of the protectorate, the Viol queens gaining power, Merritt and Rafa were conceived and born respectively. connected??? SURELY.

someone said in tinfoil that they seem like hidden lost heirs to the protectorate which is BANGER! im here for that and also think that the Viol queens used either Rafa and Merritt's power or them as bargaining chips to gain power somehow. Cyrus is evidently also involved somehow

Rachel keeps saying we haven't met the real Amara yet (i personally think this includes her with Elro sorry to the hot blond tm...) so who is she? what is her magic truly like? ive got very few proper theories get but i think it involves Argiya....

Caska and Lücan i think fought bc Lücan confessed feelings/ asked her not to marry Castillo and she said no which is why she's pining and he's pining AND bitter... the wedding will or will not happen idec but they WILL end up together TRUST!!!!
