Look i dont wanna sound like a Fandom Mom or whatever but what do you think women over 25 or so are supposed to do? Do u really think theyre supposed to drop all their interests and just talk about taxes and marriage or whatever? It seems like 25+ year old fanboys do not receive this kind of “ooh cringe” reaction either. There are guys in their 40s with comic book collections and shit and people might think theyre a nerd at worst, not a freak who shouldnt be trusted

I turned to Fairy Tail as an escape from my stresses. This is not far off the mark

Maybe I’m gonna sound ridiculous or something but, when I’m sad, tired and every time that I feel bad, I’m read/watch Fairy Tail and I can feel how I’m stay in calm for hours, and sometimes I’m happy again. Do you have ever feel the same? In the end of the manga, the quote of “do fairies have a tail? do fairies even exist?” really made me felt so emotional, and until the date, I’m still crying when I read it because when I saw Fairy Tail, I found my place and I’m lost in world of fantasy outside to my depressive days.

Day 12 “do you have Instagram?” @fortheloveofnaluevents short Drabble

As Natsu scrolled through his feed on Tumblr one of those recommendations pops up.  Weird, he rarely got fanfic ones, mostly art.  But as he begins to read the short little drabble, he realizes it’s rather well done and very cute.  Like.  Reblog.  He clicks onto the blog, H3av3ns_queen. “Hmm,” writer, college student, female, ‘well that’s pretty typical.’  UC Berkeley.  “Whoa!”  Natsu does a double take, that’s not far from where he is at UCSF!  Scrolling along he notices many of the same fandoms he’s into. What a surprise that he’d never run into the name before.

After finding and liking a couple more stories by her, Natsu decides to reach out.  What’s the worst that could happen, right?  But just as he was about to, a notification message pops up.  Natsu clicks onto his messages.

Over the next several months, Natsu chats with his new internet friend who he’s come to learn is named Lucy.  She’s a creative writing and Psychology major, totally juxtaposed degrees but she had just laughed and responded one was for love and one was for money.  He could understand that notion.  Medical school had shocked many of his family and friends, but Natsu had decided that helping people, especially kids was something he’d grown very fond of.  Granted he didn’t act like a typical pre-med student but being a big kid at heart solved the reasoning behind his career choice.

Turns out they had quite a bit in common despite very different career paths. Natsu loved Lucy’s sweet nature and she seemed to really enjoy his goofier side.  They could chat about the weather to the latest manga or anime they were into.  It was going really great.

Natsu hauls it over onto his Instagram account and checks his notifications. LuluH.  ‘Must be her,’ since she was the latest person to follow him, not that he got many followers.  He clicks over onto her account and follows back.  Pictures of her school, some friends, lots about BTS, he chuckles, ‘what girl isn’t today,’ and oh hello…

The revelation rocks Natsu.  He sits back in his desk chair almost tipping over and has to catch himself to keep from toppling or sending his phone flying. Things totally didn’t go the way he expected.  Who would have expected to develop feelings over someone they’d never met in person and then to have those feeling reciprocated!

“Here we go!” laughed Gray suddenly, shooting to his feet.  Everyone else began to cheer as a massive clock at the other side of town rang once, twice, thrice.  Twelve times it rang, and the cheering only grew.  Lucy was startled by the roar of the people around her – and even more surprised when there was a sudden blast of black-flecked flames that erupted into the sky.  People screamed and cheered in encouragement as ashes sprinkled down, careful not to burn. Another round went, and Lucy gasped in awe as she stretched out her fingers to catch a few embers.  

“It’s beautiful,” she breathed as people continued to scream and cheer around her.  She was quickly separated from Gray and Juvia as they were swept away into the arms of others who sought hugs and to cheer with them.  Lucy didn’t mind as Natsu sent off another round of flames from somewhere overhead.

It was like thousands of fireflies had risen overhead.  Lucy could have shed her coat in the warmth that filled the air. She smiled as she turned and found people dancing among the ash together, old folk songs filling the air as they celebrated the coming of the year.  Lucy’s smile faded, however, when she remembered what was coming.  

It was the year X795.  

In just under three years’ time, the world would change as they knew it, and rather than dancing among the ashes created in celebration of the coming of a new year, she could already see the old and the young, the men, the women, the children, the humans, the mythics…all staggering among the ruins of their city, screaming for lost loved ones who would never answer their cries.  

Some more ODAS stuff no one really asked for but I had a blast doing.
