The Demon Hunter

“Why am I human? I suppose I could tell you…” Govert Arbeider (the Netherlands) said, staring at the ground. “I guess I’m human because I was unlucky. The demons took my little sister from me. I should have been the one, not her. Before she was taken away, money ruled my life. Now it’s revenge. Money can’t buy the people you love. I can’t get her back, but I can make them feel my pain. I’m going to kill all the demons and then maybe my soul can be at rest.” Govert wears his sister’s flag on his arm as a reminder. It’s sort of a form of motivation for him.

The celestial deities have waged war across the universe for many centuries. From the Heavens came the Angels, and from the Void came the Demon race.

The supreme ruler of the angels is Germania, a strong, quiet man with an unyielding gaze and a name that is either said with extreme reverence or pure hatred. The strength of the army he commands has no equal, sans the Demon Legion.

The ruler of the demons is a friendly and upbeat leader named Rome. Rome seems to appear clumsy, absent-minded, and a flirt, but his mind is as sharp as a Leviathan’s fangs and his strategy and military attacks are well planned out and extremely reliable.

In 2014, both leaders sent the best of their legionaries down to Earth to seek out the others. Disguised as humans, they were weakened due to their lack of exposure to the mortal powers of earth. Now as strong as normal humans, they could only hold their form for five minutes at a time. Unable to fly or use any divine or demonic abilities, they settled down, got a job, and are always on the lookout for their enemy.

Being weaker, they are half-mortal. They cannot age, and barring any incidents, can live forever. However, they are just as susceptible to illnesses or accidents just like any other mortal. Demons and Angels can interbreed, regardless of race, thus hybrids are possible. Demons and Angels can also convert another species to become a demon/angel. However, there are certain things it requires and the demon/angel has to be strong enough to do so.
