This week just swooshed by. I remember what I did yesterday. But further back, I'm not really sure 😅 Anyway, I finished @raqueltraveillustration's fun #dtiys 💕 In the last slide you can see how the drawing looks in the beginning of my colouring process. I sort of map out the drawing with light base colours. Then I match darker nuances to those colours to make the different shades. The cherry on top is of course the white highlights. @etuxxi suggested I’d draw a strawberry cheesecake🍓I did the strawberry and cream version, so I could play with the pastel pink and yellow colour scheme 😍I also tried a pearl painting tutorial I found on Pinterest + some freestyling. I wanted to make the pearls look semi realistic, so they would stand out and make the piece more interesting.
