I've been seeing lots of posts about shipping lately and it's just gotten me thinking
There's nothing wrong with shipping, of course, and the vast majority of the time it's harmless, but there is actually a certain angle some people come at it from that can make it pretty harmful and that is the thought that "These two characters are so close to each other and care about each other so much that they must be in love with each other because that's the only thing that makes sense, if they weren't in love they wouldn't care about each other this much"
Just while you're enjoying your shipping, try to be mindful of your reasons why, because if this is your reason you ship two characters? That's amatonormativity
