Oda making Robin russian makes me feel SO much

I know it's in SBS(and in any case One Piece is set in a different world) and I'm all standing up for people headcanoning her whichever way they want(and I know russians are not very popular these days, lol), but I look at her story and her personality and I get hit with the strongest "damn, girl, we are the same" possible.

here's what I mean: she's an archaeologist(a fairly common humanitarian subject here);

she has absolutely amazing sence of humor, that's considered creepy/gross by others(I avoid making jokes in english because I know they would seem very dark at best and extremely offensive at worst. and it's not like I have a very exeptional sence of humour, 90% of my friends/aquintances make the same jokes, it's literally how we think humour should be);

she's persecuted by the government because she wants to study history and learn the truth(probably the most relatable thing. Russia has at least a century long history of rewriting real history, persecuting and pressing people who study it/talk about it/etc and bringind down organisations that research it or even simply keeping/saving knowledge about it. being in the constant "I may be arrested simply for the fact of my existence and my existence is considered to be a crime" state is unfortunatelly something I, as well as many people around me, experiece)

other facts about her - like her wanting to die, her having a degree despite living in a pirate world, her not having a normal family and being treated poorly by people she lives with, her thinking in funny pictures while maintaining the most calm face ever - of cource those things are universal(actually so are the things above, but we were talking about statistics there). but when added to all of the above, they make an almost perfect russian(not in the stereotypical way but in the "holy shit, yes, that's eactly how it is" way).

again, I'm not saying it's the only way you should headcanon Robin. all I'm saying Oda assigning this particular ethnicity to Robin and then proceeding writing her character the way he did, did a very good job of either picking the ethnicity or conveying small but very important subtleties of the mentioned ethnicity. kudos to him!
