genuinely one of the worst things that’s happened to television in the last few years (exacerbated by streaming services) is death of Filler. going from 20 episodes to 8 because “we didn’t really need that episode where the main characters went to the beach right? it had no long lasting effect” but we DID!!! we needed to see how they act without the Big Bad Plot and to establish the dynamics between the characters and lay in the sun (do they forget sunscreen? how do they react to a thieving seagull? do they get buried in the sand or do they do the burying?). the plot isn’t everything. the action doesn’t hit as hard without the quiet moments. give us character development and our little scenes back

we know that lemar is there to highlight the Black Sidekick trope™ but i’d argue that he’s also there to completely cement to the audience why john was picked to get the shield.

in every instance that john is irritable, unstable, and combative, lemar is calm, intuitive, and decisive. lemar’s a quick thinker, excellently trained. he’s multilingual in instances where john isn’t. combat wise, i’d argue that lemar and john are pretty equally matched (when john doesn’t have the serum). they both served the same tours in the middle east together, whether or not lemar got the same medals that john did. even on a personability level, we see that lemar is just as, if not more charismatic than john.

so, if all that is true, why wasn’t lemar hoskins given the shield?

In this scene I would like to point out that Sam has his back to Karli

He's showing her that he's not ready to fight because he can't even see her if she were to attack. He's showing his intentions in only wanting to talk. He used his body as well as his words to get her to talk to him. Sam Wilson everybody.

One of my least favorite shots in the entire Harry Potter franchise is the one where Voldemort is leaning over Dumbledore’s corpse to take the Elder wand.

I hate it so much. What is the rest of his body doing? It’s implied that he’s planking ominously in the air. Some people might say ‘oh this is homoerotic’ but PLANKING OMINOUSLY IN THE AIR is both unsexy and too ridiculous to be properly evil. I hate this shot and I hate that it was echoed in The Dark Tower movie with Walter and Roland.

Brio’s Chemistry

is off 👏🏻the 👏🏻fucking 👏🏻charts👏🏻. It’s palpable in every scene they are in together. I’m racking my brain to find other ships with this amount of electricity. Hats off to these two actors for bringing out my inner Blanche
