thinking about coming back to this, should I?
I saw a couple of people liking it as of late idk if its something I should continue??
The Horseman's Bride.
Not fandom related, but a short story I made for Halloween, who knows maybe I'll write more. This just kinda hit me out of nowhere.
(TW for violence, mentions of blood and gore, vivid depictions of derealization, panic attacks, near death experiences.)
Out of every moment throughout your life and every single possible slip up, accident, bump in the night, and tiny happenstance you’ve been alright. The time a boy in middle school stuck gum in your hair sure, whatever, that’s fine, the time you thought a van was following you home after work, just for it to be a very confused grandma, whatever. The point being you've never once been confronted with danger, and you were so careful and comfortable with how you lived that you never imagined you’d end up here, feeling everything all at once running through your head the good the bad and the not so bad considering you grew up in a suburb your whole life. The fact is you're running from death itself and there’s no one to save you.
You're running faster than you’ve ever run, almost faster than the man chasing you, well almost as fast if it weren’t for the fact the ground is littered with rocks, exposed roots, and very damp slippery maple leaves. Why horror movie protagonists slip and fall so easily makes so much sense. You also didn’t anticipate being chased down by a serial killer so you neglected to double knot your sneakers before going out today. The laces flopping open with every step. You also didn’t charge your phone for very long, so the advent of calling for help is out of the question by now. It’s agonizingly obvious but, you're going to die tonight.
It is such a disorienting reality, you feel like you're not you, that you're watching yourself from the outside as you run with all your might, you didn’t amount to much, and it’d probably be a few years before anyone finds you. It’s the worst kind of derealization, why was I born to live such an amazing life? With a family that loved me, with friends that picked me up when I was down, to have nice neighbors, a good home, amazing food, music, clothes, a sense of imagination and wonder that ensured you finished both highschool and college without ever losing yourself along the way, you think, why was I born woman.
You curse as you begin to descend a hill scraping your knee along the way down hoping this would throw him off but the killer is still hot on your trail, as if he knows every step and fault of the forest grounds like the back of his hand. If I were born a man maybe I’d still be okay, but I’m not. You think to yourself as you round a few trees dodging and running deeper into the woods your lungs are on fire, breathing is very hard for you, you’re not an athlete but your not entirely unhealthy either, adrenaline is one hell of a chemical response but if you were male maybe you’d stand a fighting chance or maybe this guy wouldn’t have bothered you at all. But none of that matters, the horrible belief remains If you were just running of your own volition you would’ve given up sooner. Your knees begin to shake and wobble, please don’t stop, keep going, you beg in your mind but they don’t listen, and soon enough the perfect mix of everything that could go wrong, goes wrong. You step on your loose shoelace, your leg catches the bridge of an exposed tree root, and your legs aren’t strong enough now to catch yourself, you fall face first into the mud and soot of the earth, picking your head up and trying to get back on your feet is impossible, you’re pretty sure you twisted something, but in the midst of your panic that doesn’t register as you try to pick yourself up, only for your palm to slip on a wet leaf causing you to fall again. He’s coming, you know it, this is it, why was I born to live beautifully, and die horrifically.
Tears of fear and exhaustion are streaming down your face, your ears are ringing, your heart is pounding like it could jump out of your throat at any minute, and yet time continues oddly and unnervingly it continues without a sound. You're sure the killer is just doing this to give you a false sense of hope, he’s keep playing with you. Raising your head to look around the scene, your met with a dense fog that wasn’t there before, but is now heavily coating the forest, you see what looks like a light source skimming the fog, there’s an uneven walk to it, and your eyes light up, it looks like the light from a lantern, someone is out here. “Hello?! Please help me!” You scream you begin to slowly lift yourself up by holding onto the tree behind you, seeing the light coming closer your relief washes over you, but soon the sight itself seems wrong? The light is placed at a weird distance from the ground that wouldn’t otherwise be within a reasonable arm’s length. It’s hovering high above almost like a very tall street lamp, additionally the sounds of footsteps multiply, it’s the unmistakable sound of hooves stomping into the wet ground.
Okay maybe it’s a horse rider? On his horse at night just like you do with no murderous intent, your think, but soon your wishful reasoning leaves you as the person nears closer, the fog draping them as they approach, the light isn’t even something they’re holding, it’s illuminating from their head. You rub your eyes to make sure before fear takes hold again. As the rider approaches your met with the incredible but horrifying sight, a man with a carved pumpkin for a head appears, his horse is larger than life, and as dark as sky, its yellow eyes burning into your very soul, nothing here is right, your breathing picks up almost immediately. The horseman reaches to his side pulling out an axe, a small tree axe. Your survival instincts go wild and your skin is jumping, screaming for you to run, and you do, tearing your eyes from the horseman and feebly trying to run before feeling an arm lock itself around your neck. You choke and scream for dear life as a knife is pressed to your throat.
that is until the wind cuts right behind you, and something warm and wet spatters across your back, you shiver and cry standing completely still your whole body is shaking, your back covered in fresh blood. You slowly turn to look, the man that was chasing you is now lying on the floor, a ghastly black smoke rising out of his exposed neck with his head lying father away from the body on the floor next to you. You let out a scream and cover your mouth as the clacking sound of hooves draws closer to you. You hear a thud as the rider dismounts, your legs feel like jelly, your head buried in your hands as you hunch in fear not wanting to look death in the eyes. Your legs give out entirely you're sure you're going to kneel onto the ground but arms catch you with a quick caution before you're hoisted up slowly with care like someone catching their feeble grandparent.
You lift your heavy head out of your palms as you look up at the pumpkin looking back down at you, there’s a kind of warmth to it, like a campfire, or the feeling you’d get when putting your hands over a lit candle. You stay silent in frozen sublime, the circular opening of the treetops set a void like halo over the creature, you didn’t know it now but the beyond was staring back at you. In a rush of sounds and other ungodly howls, your attention is drawn to the surrounding area as multiple eyes appear. Creatures of all kinds, humanoid and animalistic alike begin to gather round. The rider stands you up slowly as you remain pinned to his chest. There's a sound like nothing you’ve heard before, you can’t understand it but it’s coming from the rider, something beyond you replies with a sickly laugh, another with a groan, and some creatures begin to back away. “What…What’s going on.” You asked quietly as he stared back down at you, his large hand cupping your shaking one, “Audrey May, trust me.” He assures before he kneels with you, your legs finally giving out as you sit on the ground and rest against his front, you look up and around noticing ghastly like apparitions and creatures watching you and the rider with feverish intent.
So many questions are floating in your head now to the point it makes you dizzy, just trying to come up with a clear thought is a herculean task in itself. All of it instantly melts away as your right hand is lifted, you watch as his other free hand lifts a ring to your finger. You're too out of it to react, reserving yourself to staring on in horror and shock, was this thing serious?! You look up at him with a look of pure confusion he responds with a whisper. “Play along.” You're relieved slightly but still uneasy, his large hand slowly lifting the ring to your small finger, it slides on like a glove like it was made for you and you alone. After the deed is done he lifts your hand to his false mouth making a kiss-like motion you realize in that moment the jack o lantern on his head is just that, a gourd and not his actual head as the carvings remain still. “Shall we?” He asks with more volume than before, you nod playing along with this supposedly pretend proposal. His arms link behind and beneath you as you’re hoisted up to him. your arms link around his shoulders and behind his neck as he lifts you up with minimal effort before walking towards the horse.
Your eyes scan the area, there are ghastly figures all smiling, some talking amongst each other laughing with a horrible sound, you look up to the tree to see child-like figures giggling. More and more of them appear to watch the horseman take his claim. You look behind you over his shoulder and see the body of the man who was after you and his head lying in the dirt, his face frozen with terror staring up at you, it makes you uneasy, you look away immediately. The rider lets your legs down and instructs you to hold yourself by the saddle rope as he mounts, once he’s mostly up his arm wraps around your back and in one swift motion hoist’s you up onto the black stallion along with himself. He secures himself on the saddle and makes sure your secure as well, the creatures of the woods growing closer to the sight. The horseman has you lean in close as he grabs hold of the reins, his head turns to the nearing creatures. “Eat and be merry.” He instructs at his word they dash to the body, you close your eyes as the rider yips and the horse marches forward, the crowd making way for the two of you as they focus on their meal.
The horse gains speed as you exit the scene, flying through the woods with the clicking of hooves, the wind flying around you as you begin to breathe more easily, everything in your body hurts and the jumping of the horse’s pace digs into your aching body. You shiver as the cold hits your sweat, against your better judgment you lean into the rider shaking, he’s well aware of this, his right arm letting go of the rein and closing in to hold you to him. The two of you ride into a clearing that looks like an open field. Slowly you feel your chest lighten at the sight of trees opening to a clear. Above the wall of mist and fog a starry night, you look up, your eyes growing heavy as the weight of your entire ordeal washes over you, exhaustion hits once your adrenaline has subsided, so you just stare up at the underside of this strange pumpkin man whatever he is. Maybe you're safe or maybe you're not, but dammit you were going to sleep, you thought to yourself as the cold wind blew the hair from your face, please if you're some evil killer like the last one, please at least let me die while sleeping, would you? You think as your mind washes to black; you fall into a deep sleep.
((Little fun note in folklore Dullahans are the harbingers of death that lead souls to the afterlife, makes you think.))

midori days au is evil.

Went and re-watched this anime I saw in highschool it is fucking insane it's called midori days and its about a girl that become a guy's right hand.
But i will warn that the anime itself falls under gooner territory and can't recommend to minors.
I usually skip most of those scenes for the more domestic G/T fluffy moments.
Jayvik would go hard in this au 🫣🫣🫣 uhhhh I love. I want to draw more of this au only be used its so fucking insane and really funny

I'm sorry this took me so long 😭

RAAAGHHHH
Runes and Ruin Pt. 5
Arcane g/t
Notes: Hello so sorry this one took a little longer but I’m very excited about it >:)
The night of the gala changed something between Jayce and Viktor. Viktor couldn’t quite put a name to it, but it was like something in Jayce had snapped— a thread pulled taught until it finally broke.
He was still touchy, Viktor didn’t think anything could change that, but Viktor couldn’t help but notice that he seemed less comforted by it. He’d hold Viktor like he was afraid he’d disappear more than anything. Furthermore, the gentle teasing he would give Viktor over his stature had all but disappeared.
It was even worse when they were in the lab. Jayce seemed almost single mindedly determined to stay silent— his lips stayed firmly shut as he doggedly tried more and more ruin combinations. Every failed attempt only seemed to drag him further into his hardened determination.
It was three days after the gala when Viktor had finally had enough of the silent treatment. He was sitting at the edge of Jayce’s work desk where piles of withered leaves had been swept to the side from failed experiments, and Jayce looked like he was a second away from a break down. His gigantic hands trembled with every twist of a rune.
“Jayce,” Viktor called out to him. His eyes wandered to the open window at the other side of the lab, soft orange hues signalled that the sun had already started to set. “Maybe we should call it a day, yes?”
He didn’t really want to—not really. He’d much rather keep working, but he felt like he was going to explode if he had to sit through even a few more minutes of uncomfortable silence while Jayce tried and failed over and over again to come up with something that would work.
It felt uncanny to see Jayce so unnervingly quiet, and at least going back to Jayce’s apartment would mean he’d get to have some closeness back; Jayce still slept with him on his chest. Unfortunately, all he got in response was a small hum of acknowledgement—Jayce didn’t even look away from the Hexcore; his fingers stiffened around it.
Viktor gave him a few seconds before his lack of response started to hurt. Annoyance prickled under his skin as he stood up, leaning into the crutch Jayce had made him, so he could walk closer to Jayce’s hands.
“I know you heard me,” Viktor frowned.
Jayce stilled, his hands freezing around the Hexcore. His lips tensed like he wanted to say something before he let out a sigh.
“You seem unwell,” Viktor continued, trying to pry a response out of Jayce.
Jayce swallowed visibly, and his brows furrowed together as he finally spoke, “I’m just worried I—it’s almost been a month and we still don’t have a solution.”
Viktor had to stop himself from wincing at the reminder. Jayce seemed worried—more scared than Viktor had seen him before—and it felt unsettling. Jayce had always been the more optimistic of the two of them.
“It’s just like you said before, if the core can change me once surely it can change me back,” Viktor said, trying to sound more confident than he really felt.
Unfortunately, all his words managed to do was make Jayce’s lips tighten into a frown.
“What if I can’t do it though?” Jayce swallowed, his eyes falling on Viktor’s form like a heavy blanket, “I mean…I’ve already tried so many combinations.”
“You’re the smartest man I know, Jayce,” Viktor hummed in thought, “I trust that if there’s a way you can find it.”
The room fell silent as Jayce deflated in on himself—his shoulders hunched as he leaned over the desk, letting his head fall to rest on his folded arms. The angle brought him much closer to Viktor, and from only a few steps away Viktor could really tell how exhausted Jayce looked. His eyes seemed unfocused as they stared down at him and his stubble had started to grow out more than he’d usually let it. Usually, he kept himself well-groomed, one of the reasons so many people were fond of him—one of the reasons he was perfect for the council and…
“Wait, weren’t you supposed to have a council meeting today?” Viktor asked.
Jayce at least had half the mind to look sheepish as his lips twisted into an embarrassed frown, “Yeah.”
“Why didn’t you go?” Viktor scolded, walking closer until he was only an arm’s length away from where Jayce’s head was resting on his hands. He didn’t miss how Jayce seemed to lean closer to where he stood.
Jayce seemed to think on it for a moment, his lids heavy and exhausted from overworking himself, before he spoke. “I wanted to work on this some more.”
“While I appreciate it, I’ve told you before I can work on it without you as well,” Viktor’s lips tightened into a thin line, “At the end of the day this is my mistake.”
He didn’t like how Jayce’s eyes saddened at his words, like a dog left out in the rain. It was strange, only a few months ago Viktor would have been ecstatic to have Jayce back in the lab, but now it felt hollow. More than anything it seemed like Jayce felt like he had to be there, and Viktor couldn’t help but resent him just a bit for that.
“I know you can,” Jayce’s hushed words pulled Viktor out of his thoughts, “It’s just…the other night really scared me.”
Viktor stilled, looking up at Jayce curiously. “The gala?”
Jayce’s face twisted into a frown at even the mention of the party. “I thought—I thought something really bad happened to you. Something really bad could have happened to you.”
Viktor sighed as he finally walked close enough that he could lean against the meat of Jayce’s forearm. The touch seemed to pull Jayce out of his head just a bit. Jayce looked at him with such a gentle expression Viktor thought he might burn up on the spot.
“What happened at the gala wasn’t your fault,” Viktor reminded him softly. Jayce hummed in response— Viktor could feel the vibrations rumble through his whole body.
“I don’t blame you,” Viktor continued slowly, “You don’t have to overwork yourself to fix this.”
At that Jayce shook his head, nearly causing Viktor to topple over before a large hand reached out to offer him support. Viktor felt his chest warm at how easy the motion was for Jayce—it seemed like second nature.
“If I don’t fix this soon though something bad could actually happen to you,” Jayce’s grimaced, “I—I keep dreaming about it. The longer you’re like this the more I worry I—”
“Jayce, working yourself to death won’t fix anything,” Viktor sighed, as he tilted his head up, “I believe it was you who told me that before.”
“It’s not safe for you to be like this though,” Jayce frowned.
“Eh, just don’t take me to another gala and I’d say we’re relatively fine,” Viktor was almost shocked how easily the words came to him—how much truth was in them. He truly didn’t mind being small around Jayce…in a way it felt nice. And getting to have Jayce around more was certainly a nice bonus.
Viktor watched as Jayce’s face flitted between emotions like a radio flickering between signals. Even with Viktor’s reassurances he seemed conflicted—something heavy and sad laid hidden behind his eyes.
“Come on,” Viktor said, patting Jayce’s arm with his hand, “Let’s go back to the apartment yes? You look like you’re about to pass out, and if you’re out of commission you’ll be no help at all.”
Jayce looked like he wanted to argue, but as his eyes fell on Viktor the fight visibly left his body. His gaze softened as he let out a soft weak laugh.
“Alright.”
————————————
Even after getting back to the apartment Jayce seemed tense. He made them food in near silence, and Viktor had to pry conversation out of him whenever it got too uncomfortable. He was thankful when he finally was given his portion—at least with food in his mouth the lack of conversation felt more normal.
It was slightly better than it had been before they left though, Viktor noted. While Jayce was still quiet, stuck in his thoughts where Viktor couldn’t follow, he didn’t seem as sad. He almost looked apologetic whenever Viktor tried to drag a response out of him.
Needless to say, Viktor was thankful when Jayce asked if he wanted to go to bed. Even though he’d done relatively little that day, the tension and heavy silence between them had felt exhausting to manage. With a nod he let Jayce scoop him up into his hands, his fingers curled protectively around him, as he walked them both to his bedroom.
Their setup was familiar now, and even though it still made something warm flutter in Viktor’s chest, Viktor was starting to get used to it. The comforting up-and-down rhythm of Jayce’s chest was comforting beneath him, and the soothing warmth and weight of Jayce’s hand above him helped let his mind shut off.
“I’m sorry,” Jayce’s voice came out hushed and weak, pulling Viktor away from the edge of sleep.
Viktor blinked a few times, trying to process whether or not Jayce talking at all had been a product of his sleep-addled brain when he felt it. Jayce was shaking—just enough that Viktor could feel it throughout his body.
“Jayce?” Viktor looked up, tilting his head back to try to see Jayce’s face through the darkness. With the little light from the outside he could just barely make out a wetness around Jayce’s eyes.
“I’m sorry,” Jayce’s whispered, his voice wavering “I—I didn’t mean to wake you up.”
Now Viktor was really awake. Softly, he pushed his hands against Jayce’s palm, a silent ask to be let go, and when Jayce reluctantly freed him Viktor stood up as best he could on Jayce’s shaking chest.
“What’s wrong?” Viktor asked, voice quiet—too worried he’d do something to accidentally startle Jayce even more.
Jayce answered with a pained sound. His other hand, the one not being used to help Viktor stay upright, went to wipe at his face.
“Nothing, nothing. I’m alright.”
Viktor frowned leaning against Jayce’s hand so he could get a more clear look at him. “You’re crying.”
Jayce just whimpered in response. Internally, Viktor berated himself—he’d never been good at comforting people.
“Do you want to talk?” He asked after a few awful seconds of silence only broken by the sounds of Jayce’s soft broken breaths.
“It’s okay. I—I’m fine.”
“Are you?” Viktor frowned. He hated the way Jayce recoiled from him as he spoke—his head bumped into the bed frame behind him.
Viktor softened his voice as if he was talking to a scared animal rather than a grown man. Jayce had always been emotional, it wasn’t a bad thing, but Viktor should have expected this would happen after their talk at the lab. “Is it about the gala still?”
Jayce’s face twisted into a pained expression as he looked away, “No…yes? Maybe.”
“Mhm,” Viktor nodded, urging him to continue with a hand gently rubbing against one of his giant fingers.
“I just… I feel like I should already have figured this out. You shouldn’t have to be relying on me and I—” Jayce’s voice broke off with a distressed gasp.
“And you what?”
Jayce swallowed nervously as the hand behind Viktor moved to rub against his back, “I feel guilty.”
“I already told you, what happened wasn’t your fault Jayce, I—”
“No, it’s…it’s not that,” Jayce’s winced.
Viktor studied his expression as best as he could in the dim light. He’d never seen Jayce look so distraught, his face was scrunched up and red with tear marks.
“What is it then?” Viktor asked, voice careful and calculating.
Jayce tilted his head, his fingers still rubbing absentmindedly against Viktor’s back as he spoke, “Everything. The gala, the council, you, all of it.”
Viktor’s brows knitted together in confusion, “What do you mean me?”
Viktor hated the broken laugh that tore its way from Jayce’s throat. “I feel so awful I…fuck. You almost got hurt because I still can’t figure out how to fix you and I still…I’m still—” Jayce’s voice trailed off.
Viktor watched him for a moment before he decided to make his move. Carefully, trying his best not to fall, Viktor walked his way up Jayce’s chest until he was standing right in front of his face. Jayce’s eyes squeezed shut as he quivered, new tears beading up in the corners of his eyes.
“You’re still what Jayce?” Viktor asked.
Jayce’s breathing stuttered as his face twisted into a grimace. Almost a whole minute passed before he opened his mouth to speak, his voice was so quiet Viktor was sure he wouldn’t have heard it if he wasn’t so close to his face. “I’m still selfish.”
Viktor stilled, staring intently up at Jayce like he could see into his thoughts if he just tried hard enough. “What do you mean by that?”
Jayce swallowed, the movement nearly sending Viktor toppling over. “Even after the gala, even knowing how awful this all must be…” Jayce took a shaky breath, “I’ve missed you.”
Viktor’s brows furrowed as he tilted his head up at Jayce.
“I know it was my fault that we drifted apart in the first place but… I’ve missed this—missed being with you,” Jayce’s voice faltered, “I—I worry once I fix it, it won’t be like this anymore.”
Viktor’s face fell as he looked up at Jayce’s distressed face. His usually warm golden eyes were wet and red around the rims as he wiped his tears away with the back of his fist.
“I’m sorry, I know this is hard for you I shouldn’t be—”
“Jayce,” Viktor interrupted him, laying his hand on his chin. The contact caused Jayce to jolt. “I eh, I understand…I’ve worried the same.”
“What?” Jayce whispered. Even the small motion of his lips nearly caused Viktor to topple over due to how close he was to his face.
Viktor swallowed down his nerves and anger from so many months alone in the lab. He might not be the most forward person, but he could try, at least to stop Jayce from crying the whole night. “I’ve missed you as well.”
At that Jayce looked like was about to fully burst into tears, and Viktor barely had time to react before a massive hand grabbed him from behind, smushing him against Jayce’s collarbone. Jayce’s whole body shook under him and while Viktor’s immediate thought was to push the gigantic hand away he decided against it. Jayce seemed like he needed it and Viktor was nothing if not a selfish man—he’d take what he could get of Jayce’s touch.
He let Jayce hold him until his breathing finally evened out. While a deep part of Viktor still prickled, angry that it took so long for Jayce to come back, a much larger part of him felt so relieved that Jayce wouldn’t vanish again. He had been getting tired of the hours upon end alone in what once was their shared lab.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to cry so much,” Jayce’s voice wavered as he lifted his hand up from Viktor. His eyes were still red and irritated but otherwise he seemed better.
“It’s fine,” Viktor reassured gently, “You don’t need to apologize.”
“I’ve just…” Jayce sighed, “I’ve felt bad that I’ve been enjoyed this—having you around, being close again.”
“You know I don’t have to be dependent on you for me to want to see you, yes?”
“I know but…it just got to a point where I didn’t think you’d want to see me at all,” Jayce shrugged.
Viktor tensed, his eyes focusing on Jayce’s face through the darkness. As he spoke he squared his shoulders, hoping that Jayce could hear the deeper truth in his words. “I was angry sometimes, yes. I was mad at you for a while—for joining the council, for not showing up to the lab…But I never would have turned you away.”
Jayce frowned and slowly his hand moved to rest in front of Viktor palm-up, a silent invitation. Viktor didn’t think twice before taking it. He stepped between Jayce’s towering fingers to stand in the center of his palm, the warmth of blood and life under his skin was comforting in a way Viktor didn’t think he’d ever be able to replicate once he was back to his normal stature.
Slowly, Jayce’s hand moved, bringing Viktor up to the pillow his head was resting on, and Viktor had to grab onto his pointer finger to not fall over. When he was deposited securely on the pillow right next to Jayce’s face he allowed himself to relax, lying down next to him. Meanwhile, Jayce’s giant eyes seemed to stare right through him, searching for something, and Viktor felt himself flush as a warm wave of breath passed over his body. Even so small, Jayce looked at him as if he held the secret to the world, and Viktor was weak to it.
“I can’t wait till we fix this,” Jayce said in a hushed tone as he brought his hand to Viktor’s back, pulling him closer to his face. His eyes had started to flutter shut, hovering between open and closed as he let himself relax. The domestic sight of Jayce falling asleep made Viktor’s stomach grow warm with something he refused to acknowledge. It took all his power not to scramble away—to put some space between them.
“Why? So you don’t have to carry me around anymore?” Viktor teased, hoping desperately that Jayce couldn’t see how red his face surely was.
“No,” Jayce smiled, the action so soft and gentle Viktor wanted to scream, “So I can do this properly.”
And then, before Viktor’s brain could catch up, soft lips, the size of his whole body, had pressed him back into the pillow. The overwhelming warmth made Viktor’s skin feel like it was on fire, and the butterflies in his stomach seemed to migrate throughout his whole nervous system. Jayce was kissing him. The man he’d fantasized about for years—who’d never shown any signs that he felt even close to the amount of affection Viktor held for him—had him pressed back into the softness of the pillow, trapped by his lips.
It felt like it had barely even started before Jayce pulled away, eyes wide and panicked as he stared at Viktor.
“Fuck, I’m sorry. I thought—”
And Viktor couldn’t have that. He couldn’t have Jayce, the most caring and beautiful man he’d ever seen, think even for a second that he didn’t want the same thing.
“Jayce,” he interrupted. Jayce stared at him like he’d just been shot. The fear clear in his eyes was sweet in a way. The fact that he thought for even a moment that Viktor didn’t want him back was a ridiculous thought.
Viktor laughed at Jayce’s wide-eyed expression as he leaned forward. It felt wrong, like it was all a dream. But as he pressed his much smaller lips into Jayce’s bottom lip it felt warm—real. He didn’t think he’d ever get tired of it, and once he was the correct size again he knew he’d take any chance he had to kiss his stupidly handsome partner who somehow liked him back.
After a few moments Jayce pressed his lips back against him, slow and careful like he was still afraid somehow Viktor didn’t want this. And as he pulled away and tilted his head up to get a better view of Jayce’s awe-struck expression he laughed. The man looked like he was about to combust.
“Just kiss me again.”

pixie hollow is done for 😭

Pixie hollow arcane au time. Uhm Viktor somehow becomes a great wand fairy, fairies from the original pixie hollow books that could grant any wish and that tower higher than any human

after he becomes the herald he wishes for the cycle of fairies to end so everyone can be free....
and then the earth tilts at an axis
and then every fairy in pixie hollow dissappears reappearing on earth as humans who don't remember their time as fairies, who are all now boring stinky humans.
🧍♀️ uhm you apparently have to be really specific with your wishes turns out... oh yeah and Jayce is sent into the future by echo to come up with a way to fix this since once a wish is made, it can't be undone.
Its okay cause....never mind pixie hollow is doomed you guys.

Wound by a key (Jayvik oneshot)
Doll au ahead, no real warnings just magic, whimsy and fluff.
Viktor wanted to hide, if he could blush he'd be as red as a beet. Lying stomach-down in Jayce's palm Viktor lay like a rag doll his limp arms and legs dangled over the cage of Jayce’s firm fingers while his back faced the sky.
Since yesterday, everything’s felt like one long continuous dream. He was waiting for the trolley for one minute, and the next, he wasn’t human anymore.
Those large warm fingers gently held him as his head hung in between Jayce’s fingertips. He blinked, shocked that he even could.
Viktor had no idea what he looked like, his eyes traced down the meticulously detailed sleeve of his blouse to his lifeless hand. He took note of the segmented seams between his porcelain hand and wrist. Painted blush covered the tips of his fingers to imitate youth and life.
But not too long ago, Viktor was sure he was everything but alive, cold, he remembered feeling cold after this all happened to him. Lying on the concrete with the wind blowing, it didn’t feel real. He was snapped from his thoughts as Jayce’s large fingers came and gently pinched the key on his back.
“Okay, I'm gonna turn it now.”
Jayce said as Viktor answered.
“Yes, go ahead, I'm ready.”
He replied nervously, he wasn’t sure what was going to happen. Click click click! Viktor winced his eyes shut as the key to his body was wound.
It felt like a vibration that rattled his spine, it commanded his body to jerk awake and react, like shivering out of control, his body was twisted awake. Once jayce had turned the key enough times, Viktor found that his body unlocked and clicked to life.
Staring at that porcelain hand in awe, his tiny fingers clenched and moved, and slowly Viktor brought himself up, using his arms he pushed himself up and over to sit in Jayce’s hand rather than slink down like a kitten.
Jayce watched his small partner move like magic at the turn of the key, Jayce’s eyes were wide in awe as Viktor righted himself sitting in the palm of his hand, and looked up at him with a delicately crafted face. His moles, the tiny lines beneath his eyes, the hollow of his cheek, it was mostly there but in the whimsical stylings of a doll. He was in every sense of the word breathtaking.
“Hm guess I can move now, how bad is it Jayce, how do I look?”
Viktor asked before looking up at Jayce’s towering face, upon catching sight of Jayce’s eyes glimmering in awe, Viktor waited cautiously, but secretly, deeply afraid of what Jayce could say next.
“Fascinating.”
Jayce whispered softly as Viktor felt his breath fly right out of him, his heart jumped to his throat as Jayce watched him like he was holding a miracle, and technically he was.
After a second passed Viktor immediately caught himself staring back and pushed those feelings down before twisting his stunned expression to a more sarcastic one.
“Oh sure, it's fascinating when it happens to me.”
Viktor hissed as the glimmer in Jayce’s eyes vanished as he sighed.
“C'mon Vik I’m being honest, you are stunning, like how does this even work? How are you alive?”
Jayce explained his eyes darting down to Viktor’s tiny outfit as Viktor seemed to peer down with him. He was adorned in the flowery traditional wear of his culture.
Embroidered flowers ran down the middle of his white shirt, a red waist scarf, pants, and boots were all he was wearing now, with no hints of the uniform or braces he was wearing previously.
Pulling his little pant leg up he stared on in surprise at the smooth porcelain leg before him, blemish free of the scars and indents from years of wearing his brace. In a new sense, he felt almost naked.
He wanted to keel over and die, if his mother were still around he was sure she’d be squealing at the top of her lungs, taking photos, and pinching his cheek. This was the kind of thing she adored when she was alive, vivid pictures of her embroidery and dolls came right to his mind as he hunched over in embarrassment.
“Jayce this is serious we have to come up with a way of fixing this.”
Viktor spat back clenching the fabric of his shirt in his porcelain fingers as Jayce moved over to his work desk.
“I know Vik, look i’m sorry but cut me some slack, it took a lot of convincing to get you back from that little girl and even then I didn’t even know if you were okay or not.”
Jayce said lowering Viktor down onto the desk, Viktor carefully lifted himself up and stepped down. He moved inch by inch preparing himself for the usual shot of weakness to hit once he reached the ground. But the second his feet touched the desk, nothing.
His painted eyes widened as he stared down at his feet in disbelief he let go of Jayce’s hand and began taking small steps one at a time, then he started walking then pacing as a smile crept across his face.
“Now i’m gonna grab a few texts and tomes, I have to know what binding agent this is or if it's some kind of -”
Jayce ranted and rambled on theorizing and debating as he shuffled over to his bookshelf all the while Viktor stood up on one of Jayce’s mapping tools using it like a balancing post and striding across with seamless effort.
Holding his arms out in order to balance. He laughed before hopping off and landing on one foot with seamless effort. Whatever this was it became increasingly clear that he was no longer tied down by the ailments of his body. He then turned, looking behind him at the open space of the desk as Jayce’s voice echoed through the air.
“Okay so it says here that there's a way to backtrack commands and intentions if there's a way I can do that with whatever this is then we could-”
Jayce rambled walking back to the desk, his words coming to a swift halt as he looked down and watched as Viktor stood on his hands before walking with them like a circus performer.
“I…what how are you?!”
Jayce asked as Viktor smiled nervously from below.
“I don't know!”
He exclaimed as Jayce stammered.
“Y-your leg, and your back don't you? Hey wait didn’t you tell me this was serious a minute ago?!”
Jayce scolded as Viktor laughed before landing his feet down and righting himself up with a swift motion patting and adjusting his clothes as his mind began to race. He hadn’t felt this light in years.
“I promise this is serious but… do you think I can do a cartwheel?”
Vitkor asked raising his eyebrows as Jayce scratched his head with his thumb.
“I mean… Look even still Vik you have to be-”
Before he could even finish the sentence Viktor flew right into a cartwheel, before his little feet landed on a pencil shaving, immediately slipping as a result.
“Careful!”
Jayce yelled jolting forward before landing right on top of the desk managing to yank Viktor from eating the ground.
Papers and pencil dust went flying around them as Jayce lay on top of the desk with Viktor entangled in his large hands.
The two blinked looking at each other in silence before Viktor's shocked look pinched into a slow smile.
“He- ehe…ha ha ha!”
Vitkor laughed wildly as Jayce just stared at him like he was going crazy.
“Whats gotten into you?!”
Jayce asked, hovering over Viktor worriedly as he gently set him down.
“I- I finally have the answer to my problem Jayce. The thing we’ve been looking for for years now!”
Viktor exclaimed running his hands through his now synthetic hair. Jayce stared on slightly disturbed he began to piece together what Viktor was implying.
“The answer?”
Jayce asked as Viktor replied with a bright look that matched his porcelain attributes.
“It's a cure, wound by a key.”

Teehee get cursed loser :]

Viktor gets cursed by a witch. Now he's a little fella, a gay ass little guy 🤧🤧🤧

Fingers were bitten.
The rules are, if his key hasn't been wound up, he can't move.
If it's wound he can move for a time until it has to be turned again.
And if the key isn't attached to his back he turns into an inanimate doll, baisiclly goes to sleep until someone re-attaches it
....
so imagine one day jayce looses the key.

Mal is actually a princess. After she ran away she sat under a tree and cried so much her tears seeped all the way down to the "roots" of the tree and awoke an ancient god.
