Lance stared down at the girl, barely suppressing a displeased frown. If there was one thing that he disliked, it was Trainers who lack preparation before coming into Victory Road. He had received plenty of reports over the years on the kids who thought they had what it took to make it through easily. Then they ended up getting lost or even worse, hurt and he had to send people in to save them before they ended up as an easy meal for some of the wild Pokemon.

Kimaru just continued to stare up at the tall man. She didn’t know who he was, or what he did. But he was clearly not the spirit road guardian…and that was depressing. He looked really angry, and she would have to keep her excitement bundled up because she didn’t want to irritate him. Now that she was out of her overly excitable mental state, she really started to take a look around. Things looked different, and she was hearing the low growls from the Wild Pokemon nearby. And it was a little bit scary.
She picked up her Vaporeon, not wanting to have Ralu get hurt because she was the one who thought it was a good idea to wander here in the first place. She would find the road eventually, today just wasn’t that day. She frowned, following along beside him in relative silence for a while, not really sure what to do now. She had probably caused problems for him, whoever he was.
“Okay…I won’t I promise. Thank you for helping me…” Her voice grew a bit quiet now, her feet carrying her forward as she stayed close to the scary tall man. “I don’t know either. I just found it when we were playing. Big Brother Morty will be really happy to know that I didn’t get hurt trying to get here. I was excited to tell him about the discovery…that I found it. But I didn’t…maybe it just isn’t my time yet.”

♬ “Hah, yeah. Would have been a tragedy.”
Ryuki grins, showing off a row of sharp teeth. It was always neat to meet someone with a sweet tooth–it was a trait he himself had. He’d always loved sugary sweets, especially when his mom would bring home cakes and candies from the local bakery for him and his siblings. Gosh, those were the days.
He took hold of a bag, placing it gingerly on a table for just a moment as he helped this girl regain her balance. This was a lot of malasadas she’d bought–he couldn’t help but wonder why she had so many. Lots of siblings, maybe? Snacks at a party? Maybe she was marathoning a favorite series?
“You like malasadas? Got a favorite flavor?”
Kimaru sighed, what a save! She was careful usually, but she just got too excited about malasadas to remember that she only had so much arm space. Graceful at the tea house, and an absolute mess when she was out of her element. But that was okay! She would make it…somehow!
She took another look at the person who had helped her, and noticed he had quite a few sharp teeth. He looked almost shark like…that was so cool! Maybe he liked the ocean too. She’d have to ask later. “Yeah! I love them! I don’t get to have them very often, since I left! But! I wanted to get some for me and then some for my big brother and then a few others for my friend in Orre! And then I sort of lost track of how many I bought. Oops!” She laughed, stretching out her arms. “I don’t really have a favorite, but I like the blue ones the best because they remind me of the ocean. How about you?!”

Clara had already grabbed her things and dropped them off at the hotel, and was on her way to the edge of Pyrite to catch a ride when she got Kimmi’s next message. Flooded with worry, she messaged back.
But Kimmi! There’s really not much of anything on the way to Pyrite from Gateon! It would be really hard to meet in the middle…
After sending, she waved the attention of a small truck’s driver. He was on his way to Gateon, with a stop at the Orre Colosseum on the way, and was happy to take her along for the ride. The delivery stop in the middle would take longer than Clara might like, but it was the best option she had.
Especially considering, if she knew Kimmi, there was no way she would listen and stay put anyways. So she texted out another quick message, fairly certain what the response would be.
If you can get to Orre Colosseum I’ll meet you there. But please if you can just wait in Gateon?? I don’t want you getting lost or hurt or anything!
Kimmi had been flouncing around the city, asking and asking and just kept asking for people to help her get to Pyrite. There was one man who offered to take her to some Colosseum thingy, and she thought that was close enough! Agreeing, she handed the guy a seashell as some form of payment because she carried so many of them around with her…it was difficult to know how many she actually had.
Glancing at her phone, her face lit up as she crawled into some weird truck vehicle thingy, nearly vibrating with excitement. Her fingers tapped quickly to send a reply. She just couldn’t wait to see Clara again! It had been TOO LONG!
OKAY! This guy said he would take me to the pretty Colosseum thingy and I gave him a seashell as payment! He was really nice! I’m gonna see SO MANY COOL THINGS!!!! OOOOOOOO THERE IS A DESERT OUTSIDE TOWN THIS IS WEIRD! The land looks sad since there’s no water :( Don’t worry I’ll be fine I promise!
Kimaru’s boundless energy was only getting worse in eager anticipation of getting to see her friend again. The guy needed to take care of something right outside town, but the wide expansive desert was…so weird to look at. She’d never seen anything like it before! It looked awful!

A neatly wrapped gift box, containing a silky, ocean themed Kimono that is made by hand. The designer is unnamed, but you can tell they spent a lot of time on he detail. There is also a gift card to use at your local PokéBucks, and a mug that contains all of the ingredients to the best hot cocoa you’ve ever tasted. Also on top of the box is a giant blue bow, one that could be repurposed if need be! ~ your Secret Santa
Kimaru bounded out of bed that morning, humming happily as she went to work like she did every day that she had a shift. But when she got there, one of the other girls was holding a box out to her. They said that someone had left it for her to find, and her eyes sparkled. A gift for her?! But from WHO?!
Bowing to her fellow dancer, Kimmi zoomed into the other room with the box in hand, setting it down on the floor and began to carefully open the box. Her hands reached for the Kimono...and she pulled it out. It was the most lovely thing she had ever seen in her life. She could tell the details, the handmade craftsmanship...this was made by a legend! But there was MORE?! She wore the bow on her head, and took out the mug and cocoa. This was going to be the best Christmas EVER!

“AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!” She couldn’t help but scream happily, twirling the Kimono around with her, giggling and singing. “Thank you thank you whoever you are! May the spirits bless you with great happiness and the ocean’s waves be ever graceful to you!”

phantomoftheteahouse:
Morty had acquired a new ghost, a friend that liked to make a mess of things, but was sweet as could be. Glamis, a black mound of sand containing a dark spirit. He was a sweet and precious thing, and Morty decided he would visit Alola, where the pokemon originated from. Who better to accompany him than another Alolan native?
He and Kimaru made an easy and pleasant journey there, settling in and wandering to the beach as the sun melted behind the ocean. She seemed especially quiet, contemplative, and at peace. Morty let Glamis run free on the shore.
“It is high time I see where you come from, Kimaru,” he said, measured and low. “Home can be difficult to find or to make. There is always something melancholy in it. To have a home makes all else something different. Freedom can be so binding.”
Glamis scootched around, half burying himself and then uncovering to move again. Morty watched him with an awful smile. It was strange to see Kimmi at peace, speaking quietly. Not unheard of, but much rarer than he excited dancing.
Kimaru’s eyes hadn’t left the horizon, wanting to watch it and see the lights slowly fade away into night, where the spirits would be freer to do as they pleased. Their voices just seemed to mingle well with the atmosphere. The soothing waves that washed along the shore and the smells that radiated from the ocean. Everything was just…peaceful.
She could feel the energy of the ocean. It spoke to her in ways that nothing else could. Her father used to tell her when she was very young that she was born from the sea. And she believed him. Because nothing ever felt like home more like the ocean did.
A soft smile crossed her face as she heard some Pokemon in the distance. This was a place that spoke to her very existence, and she was glad to share it with her big brother. “I’m really glad we can see it together. I knew you’d like it a lot.” She paused, blinking a few times, still not moving from her seat in the sand. “Nothing ever felt like home. So I can understand…the binding and the difficulty. I love Ecruteak, it accepted me. But the ocean…it speaks to me in ways that nothing else ever did. Papa told me when I was young, that I was born from the sea. Do you ever feel like that? That no matter where you go, home feels…intangible?”

Clara was glad she’d invested in an older model PDA. It was nice to have internet access in the palm of her hand (well, at least when she had the hotel’s wifi to use). It was even nicer to have a way to communicate with those she’d met who lived abroad. Yvette and Elliot and Kimmi.
So when she felt the buzz and heard the chime that indicated a new message, her day brightened just a bit, especially when she saw it was a photo text from Kimaru.
When she saw the picture, though, she was confused. That was Gateon Port’s town map. Why would Kimmi be sending her that?
And then she read the message.
She wasn’t sure if the surge of blood was from excitement or panic, but chances were it was a bit of both. Texting back immediately, she said, “I can’t believe you didn’t tell me you were visiting but I’m so glad you’re here!! Please promise not to hitchhike. I’ll come get you. Everything on the way to Pyrite from Gateon is desert… Will you wait an hour for me?”
Clara hoped it would only be an hour by the time she found a ride and made it there. For someone who hitchhiked all the time herself, maybe it was a little hypocritical to ask Kimmi not to. But Clara was used to it! She’d been doing it for years! Kimmi probably didn’t, and it could be dangerous!
So, in order to keep Kimmi from hitchhiking herself, Clara would hitchhike herself to get to her. It couldn’t go wrong, right?
Kimmi continued to bounce and sway happily in front of the town map. She was so excited and happy to be even remotely close to Clara that everything in the world was great! There was always the tiny little butterflies that fluttered in her stomach whenever Clara would send her messages. It was just like talking, almost! Well it was close enough for Kimmi and Clara’s uses.
When she heard the notification, she very quickly tapped open the message. Wait an hour? There was a desert? How was there a desert on the other side of this really pretty port ocean city?! That didn’t seem right at all!
“Whaaaaat?! Nooooooo!!! There’s no way there’s a desert outside this really pretty ocean city! That’s not how that works! Right? But what if I start and then we meet and go to Pyrite Town and then you can show me things and I get excited and probably get into something I shouldn’t?! It’ll be fun!!!”
Kimmi had never typed so fast and so excited in her whole life. Of course Kimmi wasn’t going to listen! She had to hitchhike to get to Clara like immediately! Beginning to make her way toward the edge of the city, she kept asking people what the quickest way to Pyrite was. And most of them stared at her like she was insane.

One of the benefits of having your office so close to Victory Road is that you have a good training area for your Pokemon. So, whenever he needed a break from the paperwork but still be productive, he’d make his way to the cave. There, his Pokemon could get a good workout, either battling against the wild Pokemon in the area or the Trainers who chose Victory Road as their own personal hunting grounds.
He had just spent a few hours letting his Pokemon train to their hearts content. Lance returned Aqua to his Pokeball when from the corner of his eye, something was coming at him seemingly at high speeds under the dim lighting.

The young Kimono Girl stared with wide and curious eyes, completely baffled and fascinated by how the Keeper looked. He looked mean, but she could understand why. This was the spirit road. Of course he would have to be mean! Otherwise anybody could just wander on it and end up getting lost and confused and…wait.
At first she was excited about finding the secret to life’s mysteries that no one else had found. And then she started processing what he was saying. Protect herself? Did she forget her tags? Oh no she forgot her tags at home. Now she was going to have to use her wits and strong mental state to fight off any spirits. But the longer and longer she stared, the more and more things made sense. And then she was sad.
She hadn’t found the spirit world yet. But she would keep looking anyway. The young brunette stared up at him, givinghim a small and apologetic smile. “I’m sorry! I was playing around with Ralu and then we found this road and nobody was around so we thought it was the road to the spirit world because obviously it had to be a secret and this looked secretive! We’ll go though and we’re really sorry!”
She really did feel bad for invading on what sounded like dangerous and private grounds. Showing respect, Kimaru bowed to the tall man, her Vaporeon joining her in laying on the ground next to her feet. “Please show me the way out and I’ll gladly head that way! I won’t bother you anymore I promise!”

The Spirit of the Sea
starter for @phantomoftheteahouse
Kimaru had grown to miss the push and pull of the ocean, so much that she would find ways to reunite herself with the water whenever she had the chance. It was a draw on her, and she could never let it go. The ocean felt like home, like a place she could stay forever. It was hypnotic, and she wouldn’t ignore it’s call forever.
Morty had said he was going to be taking a trip to Alola, and Kimaru absolutely jumped at the chance to not only go spend some time with her big brother, but to reunite her spirit with the sea. she packed her small bag of things, and journeyed to her homeland. Maybe one day she would come back for good, but she loved her job as a Kimono Girl, and wasn’t sure she could have both.

It was later in the day, closer to evening when they made it to the beach. It was less crowded, and the orange and red glow from the setting sun reflected beautifully from the ocean’s surface. The soft rays of the setting sun made her more calm than usual. Despite all her excitement, Kimaru was weirdly complacent, just watching the ocean and speaking softly. “Big Brother, I really love the ocean, the mystery, the adventure. It’s freedom. It’s home. Thank you for taking me with you. It really means a lot to me.”

Road to Nowhere
starter for @drxgonchamp
Kimaru was always one to wander into places she shouldn’t. It wasn’t like she had malicious intents, she was just really curious about a lot of things. She wanted to see the world! There was so much to see and experience and Kimmi wanted to take it all in, even if she was in places she shouldn’t.
The dancer was out wandering as she did most of the time when she had breaks from her job at the Tea House. It was her favorite thing, but she had a lot of favorite things. Kimmi loved her job, but she loved the freedom of adventure. And she would let her legs carry her wherever they wanted. Bouncing and bounding around Johto wasn’t something she was unfamiliar with, but what was unfamiliar was where she ended up now.
There was a long road, a reeeeallly long road and she wanted to climb it! With her Vaporeon weaving in and out of her legs as she walked and pranced, the two companions found themselves on what seemed like an endless road filled with nothingness. It was weird! Well she thought it was weird. Was this a road to nowhere?! Was this how she went to the spirit world?! “Ralu! What if this is the spirit world road!? I wanna see the end!”
Ralu purred up at her, and she only got more excited. But there was finally someone else, someone she didn’t know. He was tall and had a cape! Without even thinking, she opened up her mouth and started spouting words with a huge smile on her face. “You must be the keeper of the spirit road! I’m Kimaru and I found it on accident I promise!”

Orre’s Guide to Hitchhikers
starter for @pyriteperformer
It was finally time! Today was a very special day for Kimaru, as she finally disembarked from her boat journey from Johto to Orre. Clara lived in Orre, and since she’d never seen it, she wanted to! The dancer just had way more motivation to do so now. So here she was, standing on the pier skipping forward toward the rest of town.
Gateon Port, that’s where the captain said they were! And he said it was Orre and gave this small speech thing about not wandering off too far away from the city because crooks were around. Well obviously Kimmi ignored that and just started wandering. She hummed to herself, dancing toward some form of town center, staring at the map. “I have no idea what any of this means!”

She quickly set out to dig out her phone, texting Clara a picture of the town map. “I have no idea where I am! This doesn’t tell me how to get to Pyrite Town! What do I do?! Do I ask for directions!? Do I wander until I get there!? I’m very excited to see you!” Kimmi clutched the tiny phone in her hands, rocking back and forth on the heels of her feet, eagerly awaiting Clara’s reply on how to get to her. She was so excited she was nearly bouncing in place.

Alola! It was her beginnings and also her end. She never thought too hard about it before, but it was a place of mixed feelings. But she had always been a free spirit, not wanting to be tied down by the nonsense of society. So she found herself in the malasada shop, staring at it like it was the coolest thing she’d ever seen.
Bright eyes and a wide smile, she was so excited to try it she forgot how much stuff she was actually carrying. Between her satchel in her hand along with the malasada, and then she was fighting with the loose change...it was an absolute disaster. Kimmi always one for not preparing for anything. This was no exception. She just needed another hand! Then it would be perfect!

Lucky for her, there was someone offering her help as she desperately tried not to drop something. She whirled around, laughing in relief. “I always overestimate what my hands can carry!” Kimaru paused, staring for a moment. “Thank you so much for helping me! I was sure I was going to drop this precious piece of food...and then I would have been very sad.”
♬ It was a relatively calm day at the malasada shop in Hau’oli–the sun was shining, he’d made a purchase of two of these delicacies, and he was currently tuning his guitar with a full one in his mouth. Maybe not his smartest move, but he was lawless, so he didn’t care.
Around that time was when he saw them struggling–the poor person with too much stuff, frantically trying to take their malasadas and change from the cashier. Feeling a little bad for this person, Ryuki quickly slung his guitar around his shoulder and dashed over to assist them. Being a guitarist who had to carry his own speakers and equipment around, he was really feeling for them.
“Hey, lemme give you a hand.”

“Mm,” he grunted, nodding to her as she set about changing the space. The darkness, well, he could still see, but in the dark nothing could play tricks on his vision. The color, the light, all blended into dark shapes. Night vision or otherwise, his eyes relaxed themselves in the candlelight.
As the two dancers opened up themselves to the spirits and energy that circulated Ecruteak, she could feel herself being pulled and pushed as she moved. The movements she displayed were becoming more fluid in ways she could only dance in the darkness. The spirits were speaking to them, and she listened to what they had to say.
Her body and mind were becoming distant, her mind wandering into the spirit world while her body moved on its own to the beat of the soft music that played in the background. Her breathing was steady, and she could practically feel Morty open himself to the spirits. This was what they were missing, the connection they both shared with the city. The energy was so powerful, and it was actually moving her soul in ways she hadn’t felt before. It was the most incredible feeling she had ever felt.
Kimmi didn’t have to open her eyes to understand that Morty was dancing in time, his own movements fluid and graceful as a true festival dancer. She was so proud, and she finally opened her eyes to stare over at him as the music shifted once again. The climax of the dance was approaching, and she was absolutely right. He was so graceful and in tune with everything that it made her so happy. He was doing it and she couldn’t be prouder! She knew that he could do it! She had always believed in him. Even with her eyes open, the spirits and energy continued to tug at her, and she was accepting to their guidance. “I always knew you could do it.”

Even the cracked ones…
Theophanes snapped back to attention with Kimaru’s last question, and with his chance to witness the sparkle in her eyes. The call to adventure, the joy of discovery, she seemed to embody it. How very like his mother..
“Sometimes I miss home,” he said, “and it hasn’t been the easiest time of my life, but Alola has given me a great adventure. Even if I moved away, I’d have to promise to come back or I might cry. My mother loved it here, obviously, or I wouldn’t be here at all.”
He laughed at his little joke. Her affair on the islands led to his existence, but her story also led him to the islands. Funny how the word could move in cycles like that. Romeo brought him another shell, then, and he turned it over a few times before pocketing it, giving the Sylveon a gentle pat before he ran off again. Sometimes he forgot he wasn’t from Alola. But growing up in Kalos, developing the accent despite his mother’s ever changing manner of speaking, he’d even started to sound like the locals a bit more.
Kimaru could share in the sentiment. She could always tell that Papa missed the open seas of Alola. Maybe she could talk with Theo about it. He just sort of seemed to get it. Kimmi looked down at Aiko who was rolling around after Romeo, trying to keep up and find shells too. The Spheal was so cute! And they looked like they were having fun too!
The dancer dug her toes into the sand, bending back over to run her fingers to dig for some more shells. She kneeled, picking up a cracked shell. She brushed off the sand in the crevice, running her finger along the jagged edge. She would use this as the center piece. Kimmi looked up to meet his eyes, smiling softly.
“Well I’m really glad you’re here too! You’re really easy to talk to, and I like it a lot! I really miss it here a lot, and I think coming back here was what my heart really needed. What you said, I sorta makes me think of me too. Papa left here to make Mama happy. But Papa really misses the call of the ocean. So I have to carry on for him, to live a free life free of chains, going wherever the waves take me. That probably doesn’t make any sense!”

The story of the Dogs.
He made a mental note, trying to fall into her slower steps, backing himself up if he didn’t remember, or couldn’t quite do the step the way he wanted to. Though dancing was flow, an exercise of the spirit within the body, there was something unnatural at times in his body with complex physical movement. The Dogs though. Maybe he could connect to that, trust himself more?
“I think I understand,” he said, following her, but still fumbling briefly. The pressure of ritual performance weighed more heavily on him than anything could in a normal practice. Having fun, letting himself go, he could do that here, but when it mattered? “I am nervous, though. Maybe you should be doing the ritual. It has to be perfect.”
Maybe perfect was the wrong word. He kept trying to follow her, getting better as they went. Morty always approached ritual and prayer with great respect. Though he would be the first to say no human can be perfect, or that the offering of one’s body to a ritual like this almost begged for something human, he was held back by the public nature of the event. Everyone would attend the festival, and he would be the one to welcome it, to shift the time, the season, on to the next. He wondered, with how much he hid himself from the public eye, from the world around him, if he could be trusted to join the two worlds.
Just as he lost himself in his misgivings, he shook his head, having nearly tripped himself, but recovering.
“I am too focused on the wrong things, maybe.”
Kimaru smiled sweetly to her adoptive older brother, someone she looked up to a lot. She relaxed her body, letting the flow of dance take her limbs wherever it wanted. She had the tendency to trance while she was performing, especially if it was particularly spiritual. And she had another thought that might be able to help Morty get out of his shell and really feel the spirits and energy that would surround them at the ritual.
“I think you’re the perfect candidate to perform! You’re always so well grounded, and so spiritually in tune at the same time. It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen, and I really wanna do that someday. I have another idea! Because you are focusing on the wrong things.” Kimmi paused her dancing, running over and starting to light a couple candles in the room. She then cut the lights, so that only the candle glow illuminated the small room.
“Sometimes, I think if you can see things, it messes with you. So! We can try it in the dark. I think it’ll be easier for you to feel the spiritual energy in the dark, to really channel yourself!” Even though it would be near impossible to see her, she still gave him a bright and warm smile. “Everyone believes in you Morty, and I know I do with all my heart! I’m not going to give up until you’re happy with how you perform. Because it’s one of the most beautiful and spiritual things I’ve ever seen.”

She could feel the spiritual energy already, beginning to seep through the wall of the small studio room and into her very soul. She hummed along to the ritual song, raising her arms. “I can hear them, singing with us. If there’s anyone in the entire world that can be the messenger, it’s you. I’ll practice all day and night with you until you’re comfortable Brother.” It was the first time she’d ever referred to him by that…and it probably wouldn’t be the last. She opened up her very spirit to the dance, and hoped that her positivity and radiance would help Morty overcome his fears of performing in the public eye.

Romeo fluffed up his fur and his posture looking proud at such kind words. Dangerous, Kimmi, but Romeo is easy to get in your corner with compliments like that. Theo set to work a little ways off, giggling at the exchange.
“Romeo has an eye for beautiful things,” he said. “It gets us both into all kinds of trouble, eh, Romeo?”
The Sylveon sort of yipped at him and then set back to searching, digging his paws beneath the sand and trying to unearth various things. Theo pulled up a rather plain looking shell in a normal shape.
“I also have an eye for beautiful things,” he explained, turning the shell over a few times. “I like the fun of looking. Whatever I find I will use, but I hope I can find something nice and special to put in the middle, maybe do something a bit minimal, make it special. What about yourself?”
Everyone had a different method. Romeo liked to collect the small and pretty things, but would always leave them somewhere else. Then the adventure could continue. Perhaps Theo had taught him that, but they’d learned from each other.
Kimaru moved the sand gently with her feet, feeling around with her toes for any signs of shells. She was having a nice time. Her toe hit another shell, and she very quickly snatched it out of the sand and dusted it off. What sort of things was she looking for? That was a good question!
“It’s important to have good eyes for shell hunting, but even the cracked ones are beautiful in their own ways. Sometimes, those ones end up being my favorites. Every necklace is special I think, because you put the time and energy into finding just the right pieces for it!” Kimmi hummed softly, singing the old sailor song her dad sang to her almost every night before she went to sleep.

“I like all different kinds. I don’t really look for anything in particular unless I’m making one for someone else. Then I’ll spend sometimes days hunting the shorelines for just the right shells! But today! I’m just here to have fun. We think alike like that! So how do you like it here?” Picking up another shell, it had a beautiful purple color, and her eyes sparkled. She knew what she wanted to do now. And she wanted to make it magical.

Any apprehension Clara had melted away at Kimaru’s excitement. Tail swishing with happiness, she nodded with enthusiasm, ready to head to the beach. The sound of an ocean crown made her blush. Trotting alongside as they made their way there, Clara smiled, eyes closing briefly as she nodded along. That’s great, she said. My day was nice. I helped get a young Wurmple out of a Mystery Dungeon.
She remained silent the rest of the trip over, but when her paws touched sand she leapt forward, happy to head towards the surf. She wet her paws at the ocean’s edge, loving the feel of it as the water lapped at her feet.
Turning her head to glance at Kimmi, she twitched her tail in a sort of ‘over here’ signal. Do you want to look for seashells? she asked. I’ve never done that before. Clara wasn’t sure where to begin looking, but she was sure Kimmi would know. She couldn’t wait to get started.
Kimmi pranced along the path, humming as they went. She babbled on about what sort of moves and lessons she taught that day, so happy that Clara came to visit. “That’s so great! I really love that you do so many good things for the residents here! It’s so cool!”
The rest of the trip she spent babbling about how awesome it was that Clara got to do so many cool things and see different places for her job. But once the beach was in sight, the two wasted little time in exploring the beach. Kimaru ran straight into the water, flopping over on the shoreline and rolling around in the tides that washed in.
Kimmi watched Clara’s tail, and rolled back over to jump back to her feet. She was now soaked, and tail wagging with excitement. Clara was so cute when she was all happy like this. It made her feel all warm and fuzzy. “Yeah! They tend to be buried closer to the shoreline! I’ve found some great ones right over…there!” Her tail pointed a little to the left, and she started rummaging through the sand with her paws. “We can get you a really pretty seashell crown! It’ll be so great!”
