EVENT: Supanova?
So Supanova Sydney is on June 17th -19th At Sydney Olympic Park.
I was wondering if there were anyone who was interested attending this event in gear.
The forum seeds to be covered in Anime cosplay, and one or two video game ones, so I might put a bulletin up on the forum for us.
More information coming up.

Aging Fabric How To
I found this fact sheet on how to age clothing/fabric, and thought I might share it if anyone is needing/wanting to age their stuff.
I read through it and it seems to have some good ideas of how to make fabric looked old and distressed.
That said I've seen an awesome zombie costume that was made by someone rolling their friend in the dirt while wearing it and ripping it while it was worn to create more 'realistic' rips.
Tea staining also looks cool, and I'm sure coffee would work well too. Once it's dried it shouldn't come off on anything, but don't take my word for it. Apparently HOT water works the best. [Allison says: I tried to distress fabric with tea once but then it went mouldy D: ]
I'm sure you could also burn holes in things, but be careful you don't  light the whole thing on fire, or yourself. Also, some synthetic fabrics are incredibly flammable, and others might actually melt.
Feel free to comment, and I'll add or remove things.
(DISCLAIMER: I'd consult the internet before doing anything I suggest. Seriously. I fail like that)

Tutorial for making goggles.
One of many, many tutorials for this.
Probably not the best, probably not the worst.
Decided to start adding things to the site again.

Who, What, Where, When, Why?
Who are we?
Well currently we're two students who were disappointed in the lack of Steampunk at our university. Unlike those other groups/societies we are NOT official. Joining is free. You shouldn't have to pay to turn up and have fun. You don't need to have Tumblr either! This is just an easy way for us to run a website. We are currently nameless as a group and are open to suggestions.
What is Steampunk?
Steampunk is a sub-genre of science fiction and speculative fiction, frequently featuring elements of fantasy, that came into prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. An imaginary Victorian age, that features brass and copper clockwork and steampowered inventions that go far beyond 1800's technology. Steam powered mechanical wonders, optimistic gear driven computers, dirigibles, clockwork firsts, and stuff like that. (But don't forget the goggles.)
Well at least according to Google.
Where are we from?
Macquarie University of course, but we're happy if you are from elsewhere. The more the merrier!
When?
We currently do not have a meeting time or any events planned, mainly due to our lack of members and organizational skills. Hopefully if you're reading this you are actually interested in joining. Please email us or message us through the Inquiries tab to tell us when you are usually free (We know exams are currently starting and the semester is nearing its end).
Why?
Because Steampunk is awesome. And Awesome is best shared with other people.
