not only is the evil alter trope stupid and bad but it also just doesn't come close to capturing the true horrific realities of being a system, such as one of your headmates being a swiftie

Kingdom Hearts is a series about people experiencing traumatic events, often undergoing a sort of ego death, and as a result splitting into fragments and/or entering a temporary state of non-existence within another person until they're able to handle reality again,
and even once they face their demons and are able to reunite all of their fragments and achieve a balance, they come out a greater whole than they previously ever were. Because while the fragments were separated & broken, they each went on to shape their own unique experiences, and form their own bonds, which filled out the empty space in each of them until they became whole again on their own.
So even after reuniting all of the broken pieces that one single person used to be, all of the fragments remain their own individual selves, who only want to continue being & supporting their loved ones, like anyone would.
Kingdom Hearts is so fucking Plural.

I wish depression were an emergency. I wish someone could take one look at how sick I am and go “oh my god, we need to get you to a hospital!” and then when we get there I get rushed into surgery and the surgeons say “it’s a good thing you brought her here when you did, this is a seriously advanced case” and then they put me under and spend the next ten hours pulling metres of long, sticky black strands of gunk out of my body, throwing it immediately into an incinerator so that it can’t infect anyone else. And then they could stitch me back up and I could rest a few days, and when I leave the hospital everyone can see how much better I am and they congratulate me saying “well done, you’ve been so brave, I’m so glad you’re ok. I love you.”

One of our (newer) introjects was staring at our face in the mirror for about 10 minutes. I asked him if he was okay, and he said something I thought I should share, ‘cause it might resonate with some of ya’ll. “This face is wrong. All of this is wrong. None of this looks like it should. But there’s something in our eyes that looks like me.”

Plurality/alterhumanity is so wicked and twisted. Can't even hyperfixate on characters anymore because it goes from the "hehe waow" stage to the "oh no" stage in a matter of days. Like, I just thought you had a cool arc why are you here giving me your opinions on dinner.
#[looks at a certain tv-shaped guy chilling in the corner] 🤨#it's weird bc tort got really into scott pilgrim but there were no introjects#but then deltarune and... potentially...#introject

Is it a headmate? Is it a fragment? Is it a facet? Is it a persona? Am I subconsciously masking? Am I subconsciously/involuntarily otherlinking/copinglinking? Is it a kinshift? Is it a ’flicker? Is it age regression? Is it a mood? Is it impulsivity? Is it an intrusive thought that I’m reacting to? Is it genderfluidity? Is it pronoun/namefluidity?
Who knows! Who cares! I don’t need to stress about this, it doesn’t matter! It’s a mode that the “I” is in, the way I feel in that moment! And I will make a pluralkit/tupperbox/simplyplural for it so I can express myself and decide the rest later! Or never! These labels are a construct! Personhood itself is a construct! I don’t need to box myselves! I can just live!

PLURALPUNK V.2

Hey there! We're the original coiners of pluralpunk. We first coined this in 2020, and never expected it to get the attention it did. That being said, here's a new post for you all & a flag re-design.
As usual, the full information will always be available on the official carrd, linked in our description. Please link there when explaining what pluralpunk is or uploading it to wikis, since it's the most permanent place to find that information!
(If anyone can add image descriptions, it would be greatly appreciated.)
What is pluralpunk?
Pluralpunk (or plurpunk) is a movement that focuses on embracing one’s plurality and all of its intricacies in a radically accepting way as well as challenging the accepted “norms” of plurality within their own system and identity.
Pluralpunk is:
The rejection of the notion that plurality is inherently unhealthy/a disorder or that a system needs to be “cured” in order to lead a fulfilling life.
Acknowledgement that there is nothing inherently “wrong” with plurality and it is just another way to exist.
Acknowledgement that some may not choose to label their origins or system type while respecting the ones that do.
Freedom to do whatever they please with their system identity, including but not limited to: the name of the system, the names of headmates, subsystems, etc., pronouns, identity labels, and headmate origins.
Radical acceptance and inclusivity of any and all plural experiences - as long as those experiences are not directly harmful.
Inherently accepting, inclusive, and welcoming of endogenic, created, xeno-originated, spiritual, metaphysical, and other system types.
Inherently accepting of disordered and medical systems, including programmed/hc-DID systems, p-DID systems, systems with an ambiguous, pending, or unofficial diagnostic status, and systems with CDDs that are less visible in the community such as OSDD-1a and UDD (if they wish to consider themselves plural).
Italics are all new additions. These are not the only things pluralpunk can be - we invite you to make your own meaning, keeping in mind that is inherently inclusive and striving for a better future for all plurals.
Who is pluralpunk for?
Anyone can use this label, we just ask that you don’t use it to attack others and are respectful of others’ choices regarding their system!
This label was not intended for anti-endogenics, gatekeepers of any kind, radqueers, or other harmful individuals or groups. Your beliefs are antithetical to any punk subculture. While we cannot stop you, know that we do not approve or support anyone using pluralpunk to be exclusionary or harmful.
