She was very accommodating of our particular travel needs, with a warm personal touch. The bed was comfy and breakfast with lovely, complete with fresh baked bread and home made jams. Jenny’s Runestone Area On the way up Highway #436 from Rocky Harbour: The SS Ethie shipwreck is a nice coastal view a quick drive in and look around or a short walk down to the beach and the scattered remains of the SS Ethie.. The Arches Provincial Park these naturally formed limestone arches are large. The Arches are a great place for a picnic lunch. Another great place to explore is the Thrombolites walking Trail in Flowers Cove. Our Area:  2 Viking Sites at L'Anse aux Meadows-Hay Cove, where we have Jenny's Runestone House B&B.   The National Historic UNESCO Viking Site and Norstead a Viking Port of Trade. 1.5 KM from us. We have excellent Restaurants within 10 minutes. We have the French Shore Exhibit, at Dark Tickle a Museum and Cafe Experience. We are located 1/2 KM from the International Appalachian Hiking Trail. We are meters from the Iceberg Alley Trail. Things To Do Here: The SS Ethie shipwreck is a quick drive in and look around or a short walk down to the beach and the scattered remains of the SS Ethie. Port aux Choix and the Archaic People National site is worth the drive. You will often see caribou here. If it is a warm day you may look towards the flat rocks along the ocean the caribou often rest here in plain view. The Arches Provincial Park these naturally formed limestone arches are large. Another great place to explore is the Thrombolites walking Trail in Flowers Cove. The Coastal Drive, North on the Peninsula is gorgeous . In St. Anthony we have the Grenfell Historic Properties and Fishing Point Lighthouse a popular look around spot.
