one thing i haven't seen samuel dalton theorists mention is that they never actually caught him. by the time the players escape the greenroom and get to the game changer set, the bomb is still there, but samuel dalton is not.

they don't catch him, they don't stop him, they don't send him back in time or anything. they just kind of defuse the bomb and move on to the end of the game. he is not mentioned again.

i've seen many theories about samuel dalton being "back," but he didn't actually go anywhere, as far as we know.

he might've been here the whole time.

Watching Game Changer is a treat because sometimes it's a wacky silly game, like "Make Silly Noises", "Survivor" or "The Bachelor" and other times it's bizarre, complicated experiments that Sam came up with, like "Mind-bending Simon Says", "Bingo but it's multiple levels of people manipulating each other" and "A Memory Game that slowly descends into madness", with a couple episodes designed specifically to break the mind of Brennan Lee Mulligan.

Fictional Vic Michaelis from VIP is unironically one of my favorite characters at the moment. They’re an asshole. Every night they’re visited by a merchant of death in their dreams. just got emotional imagining all the tiny ways the bad kids love each other. all of them have worn gorgug's hoodie at one point. it's basically threadbare but they trade off casting mending. kristen has tried to use fig's skateboard in the parking lot after school and ate complete shit on the concrete. they all chanted for riz to try it too and he did a bunch of sick ass tricks he didn't know he could do. they all have drawers in random rooms of seacaster manor for their stuff despite never formally agreeing on it. they sit out under the thistlespring tree on weekends and project tv shows and youtube videos onto the side of the hangvan. riz brings a stupid tea-cortado for kristen in the mornings for their campaign meetings without being asked. fabian's pool is open to them no questions asked, just shoot a crystal message so he can unlock the gate (unless it's riz, he likes to scurry over it or pick the lock, for enrichment). without speaking adaine grabs some hot sauce packets from her jacket the minute fig sits down at their lunch table. yknow what I mean.

Another great year at the Aguefort Adventuring Academy!

I had hoped Gorgug would get the killing blow on Porter to get back at him after his horrible treatment of Gorgug for the past 3 years. Maybe using that rage that Porter always deemed insufficient. I had hoped Porter would meet a violent end that he deserves for influencing the Rat Grinders and attempting to revive Ankarna just to kill her. For the murder of Lucy Frostblade and Yolanda Badgood.

Instead, after getting downed by Porter 3 times, thanks to Adaine's very clever use of Fabian's gift, Gorgug got to be part of the amazing teamwork that brings Porter down. Not using the rage that Porter kept insisting on him using, but using an ability he essentially developed against all of Porter's expectations. And he does it, coming out of rage with a smile on his face, saying, "Hey. Don't be blinded by rage."

This was way better than I ever imagined. And it gives a stronger message. Thank you, truly, to this cast. You are all amazing.

has anyone warned gorgug that telemaine is in elmville. or is he just going to be out trying to find a quokki pet and he turns down an aisle in the elmville target to see telemaine at the other end

Gorgug was so important in this battle but not bc he did a shit ton of damage but just bc he did not stay down, Porter wasted soooo many attacks on putting him down again and again but guess what oh he's down? Relentless endurance. Oh down again? Kristen will heal him. Down again? Healing word from squeem. Down again? Nat 20 on a death save

And Porter hates him so much, he absolutely cannot take this student having been right about his stupid multiclass, he just really really wants to kill him when like. Mechanically? Maybe should've focused some more on Adaine and her brain worm

And then when Adaine does use the brain worm it only works because Gorgug is conscious, Porter spends the entire time trying to kill Gorgug and the moment where it matters, the moment Gorgug does have a crucial reaction that he couldn't do if he was down, he's in fact awake and can throw a flashbang in Porter's face

Porter tried to do one thing this entire battle and he couldn't even do that right

That moment in the finale where Gorgug finds his way into Kristen’s forest while they are in Ankarna’s domain and just  

Gorgug was in a forest the first time he died. It was scary, a leaf cut him, he talked about it a lot for a while, it stuck with him, it wasn’t at all comforting. 

Three years later he finds Kristen in her peaceful woods. 

“Remember when we died?”

“You look so much better”
