It was weird staring at the face of this man he has once hated so much. Sungjong and Liqin have spent so much time together and Sanghyun has felt left out. Being the bad twin of them both, Sanghyun has never tried to hide his dislike towards Liqin despite knowing how much he meant to Sungjong. Or maybe the knowledge of how much they have meant to each other has brought out this ugly jealousy inside of him.

But now? Now that he looked into Liqin’s face he felt no hatred but pain. This man was probably the last remaining connection Sanghyun had with his dead brother. And maybe he should have moved out of this apartment, but Sanghyun couldn’t afford a new home. Sanghyun was just about to open his mouth again, but as soon as the name of his brother left the other man’s lips, Sanghyun froze on the spot. Of course, Liqin had no clue that Sungjong was dead, no one has told him.

Sanghyun only had two choices now: telling Liqin the truth and hurt him, or play along.  ❝ No need to apologize, please come in. ❞  The blonde man stepped aside to let Liqin in, even giving him a soft smile. What was this feeling inside that held him back from telling Liqin the truth? Maybe it was something like his conscience. Liqin and Sungjong have loved each other and his brother has cried for days after the breakup. Back then Sanghyun has wanted to kill Liqin for breaking Sungjong’s heart, but that enough time has passed, he has reflected on the events enough to understand that Liqin has probably not made this decision because he wanted to.  ❝ Why don’t you have a seat in the living room? Do you want a drink or something? It….It has been a while… ❞

Confidence was lacking; his mind a jumbled mess - but that’s to be expected the first time you see the love of your life after so long. Liqin can’t think straight, and honestly he’s not even quite sure he’s breathing. This is so much, so overwhelming...but at the same time so necessary. So relieving - comforting, even. Like his normal plaguing anxieties were slowly being rolled up into a little ball and kicked off into the very recesses of his entire being. For a moment, everything felt alright. Normal. He was okay. He found Sungjong again. If only he knew the truth.

Eagerly does he nod, a quiet thank you leaving the passive boy as he stepped in and took a look around. The nerves were creeping back, but he worked to ignore such feelings for the moment. Sitting carefully on the couch, he’s offering the other male a small smile. 

     “water - if that’s alright.” his tongue darts out, wetting his lips before returning to scanning his surroundings, two toned hues taking everything in. “--It has been, hasn’t it? I’m sorry, I--” a pause is taken, followed by a heavy sigh as Liqin settled back in his seat, hands knitting together in his lap.

          “My dad - he didn’t give me a choice. Basically just had my body guards put me on the next flight back home and took my phone. I just...I just wanted you to know that. I wouldn’t have just up and disappeared if I had a choice.” Was he rambling? God, he was rambling.
