I am constantly hurt by the callousness with which people dismiss the harm of restricting adult content and porn, only concerned about the knock-on effects for queer people and radical political groups. Sex workers ourselves matter just as much as non sex working queer people and leftists.

We are not canaries in the coal mine whose deaths you can dismiss while you frame groups you actually care about as the sole human casualties of these policies. I need you to care that laws like the Online Safety Act lead sex workers to have to return to abusive third parties to find clients or to work in brothels we hate or to such poverty that we starve. I need you to care about payment processors refusing to pay out for adult content because it means sex workers cannot rely on online work when selling sex in-person becomes too much for our bodies or too risky.

Please care about sex workers' suffering, rather than only the fact your favourite queer game was de-listed from itch.io and that you have to use a VPN to access adult subreddits without giving your ID now.

happy disability pride month please help my disabled ass survive

i’m a nonbinary lesbian autistic with adhd, ocd and cptsd as well as several chronic illnesses that cause severe disability and chronic pain. i also serve as the carer for my best friend who is largely bedbound because of undiagnosed physical disability as well as a psychotic illness.

as you might know, i’m in a really bad financial situation wherein i owe a shit ton in taxes somehow, while simultaneously being unemployed and not really even being able to afford rent as it is, and now we have to find a new place to live because our landlady has to move back to sweden to take care of her sick mother. i have effectively no safety net as i’m estranged from large parts of my family (see the previous mention of cptsd), and i’m doing all i can to stay afloat but pretty much everything feels like it’s constantly falling apart around me.

i’m trying to sell as many of my belongings as possible on different platforms to make some money but it’s just not feasible to source enough money fast enough that way, so if you have ANY to spare at all, please consider chipping in. if you’d like something in return for your contribution, i would love to make gif commissions, and you can dm me about that! i know there are so many who need help but if you can’t help materially, you can at least reblog this post. i’m so sorry to be asking again. i don’t have a concrete goal right now but i will set an initial one at 10,000 sek (about €900).

hi yall, i have set a chuffed campaign up for the family of my friend mohammed al-shawish who was recently killed by the occupying army, allah yerhamo. mohammed’s original gofundme can be found here, and you can read his story as well as view his verification on his profile (@mohammedsh88).

to make a very long and tragic story short, mohammed accepted help from a person in belgium who offered to set a gofundme up for the family. his wife toha was six months pregnant at the time, and her pregnancy was extremely high risk as her cervix had began dilating and her levels of sodium were dangerously high. i sold stickers and was accepting gif commissions to donate towards his fundraiser, which made approximately $200.

shortly before toha gave birth, their fundraiser was deactivated. they received no money from the man who linked his bank account to the fundraiser, and not a penny of nearly 2000 euros ever reached them. he needed that money to reinforce their tent and buy baby supplies, and because of that person their baby, a little boy named ayan, was born in a cold, wet tent in the middle of the winter. toha’s milk supply quickly dried up from her lack of nutrition and their baby became jaundiced soon after.

the ceasefire was called not long after, and they felt so lucky to be able to return to a house that was salvageable. toha, who loves decorating and is known for it on her instagram account, made quick work of decorating for ramadan shortly after they returned home, only for the ceasefire to end just two weeks into the holy month, and for them to return to the life that had become their nightmare, this time with a young infant.

mohammed was killed in early june. he died working, trying to make money to provide his family with even a morsel of food. that was absolutely his only concern in life, was putting food into the bellies of the people he loved.

there is absolutely nothing that we can do to ease the pain of his wife, who has lost her soulmate and the father of her children. however, her and her children deserve at the very least to not have to worry about starving to death. that is the absolute bare minimum that a family, that human beings are entitled to, and i’ve started this campaign to hopefully lighten the burden of their basic needs just a bit. toha is a mother of four children, including a very young child, and she is relying on the help of kind strangers.

for the sake of transparency: this campaign is not currently vetted. mohammed was #86 on the gazavetters list, and i’ve gathered the appropriate information for his wife to be vetted and submitted it to gazavetters. i am currently awaiting an update.

while verification is pending, i’ve attached some photos to verify that i have talked to her. i have also been wiring her money via her sister’s bank account, but this is not sustainable for me alone long term. i’ve attached proof of this below with some information crossed out to protect the privacy of her sister ♡

the handala is now less than 300 nautical miles from gaza and they expect to arrive in the next 24 hours. israeli drones started following them today. they are live streaming their path as well as multiple angles of the ship on youtube and the crew has asked us to watch it to keep them safe. they’ve also asked that we email & tag the relevant foreign ministries to urge them to protect their citizens who are traveling lawfully to provide humanitarian aid.
