I am a huge Carmen Berzatto apologist, but, the closer season four gets the more I want him to have to grovel and beg Sydney to stay at The Bear.

Maybe even get to a point where she’s decided to stay but wants to fuck with him a bit longer.

Of course he imprinted on Sydney the first time he meets her: the one person who has never questioned his culinary skill, who saw him right away.

ive seen a few people say that they theorize Carmen’s the result of an affair and that he left after realizing that 😬

I’m pretty sure other people have said this but the only example coming to mind is a fic on AO3 called ‘get me off the floor’ by i_cling_to_barbed_wire. (i don’t think they have a tumblr account) and quick warning for the fic, it gets DARK

Did they ever confirm that Mikey, Nat, and Carmy’s father actually left, or is it just heavily implied? Like, is there an off chance their dad passed away, but they just say he "left" because it was quote unquote "easier"?

Because if it is left up to interpretation, I would not be surprised if it's the latter.

What really breaks my heart is that Carmen doesn’t give a fuck about the star until Sydney does. He doesnt even give a fuck about The Bear, despite what he’s trying to convince himself and everyone around him. All he’s ever cared about is Michael’s attention and approval and now he’s gone.

Carmen’s a Icarus for real.

He may sound and act like an “Icarus didn’t flap hard enough” but in reality, he knows Icarus wanted to fall (because he wants to fall too)

He knows he’s getting too close to the sun but he doesn’t care.
