So on Tuesday a friend of mine managed to use her connections to get us on the guest list for Katy B's first headline show in over a year - stoked! It was a pretty weird day because we didn't get confirmation until 5pm, so there was always potential for a sick night, but we couldn't say for sure...
After heading up to London I met her at Old Street and we walked around the corner to the club and made our way in. The club was pretty sweet, totally minimal  and quite small, but in a good way because the gig was totally intimate.
Supported by Brackles, Roska, Josey Rebelle and Roses Gabor, the gig was awesome. It's the third time I've seen Katy live, and she never ever fails to disappoint, and her support acts are always bang on the same level as her. The vibes in the club were immense and everyone was having a dance (and if they're me, singing their hearts out too). She performed three of her recent singles, Aaliyah, What Love Is Made Of and 5AM which was released last week, as well as the ones that made her famous from her previous album On A Mission & load of songs from her new album which she announced was called Little Red.
All in all a ridiculously good night, and it was topped by the fact we realised we were partying next to a very proud Mama B and the support singer Roses Gabor, who was totally cool when I complimented her performance.
I know this clip is a little shakey, but it's from one of the songs on the new album which I think is called Disappears
Bring on more music!

Nike 'Never Not' Snowboard Premier
On the same evening as London Fashion Weekend was the premier of the new Nike Snowboarding film - Never Not. After legging it from one part of London to another, we just about made it in time to get into the Curzon cinema and bag some good seats  next to Jamie Nicholls, Birget Rofner and Sophie Nicholls, just before Jamie's season edit was shown.
The atmosphere of the entire premier was insane, totally electric and friendly! So many Hemel locals up too, including the FBBB guys and a couple of other regular riders. It was genuinely amazing to be in the company of so many people - pros or not - who all shared one passion!
The film kicked off and there was non stop 'oohs' 'aahs' and 'holy sh*t what the f#ck was that?!s' My personal favourite was Halldor Helgason's backflip whilst jumping off one rooftop, on to another one and then landing before throwing a HUGE 360 off the second rooftop before landing on the floor. Oh. My. God. Did I mention the guy also had a neckbrace on from where he'd nearly broken his neck the day before...? Mental doesn't even cover it!!
When the film finished I was pretty gutted, I've never even imagined some of the stuff that got thrown down in that film and now I can't wait to get out on the mountains again and get my freestyle up to scratch, talk about motivation!
Major props to the Nike Snowboarding Team for throwing down and creating a badass film that will be remembered for years...

London Fashion Weekend
London Fashion Weekend launched itself on Thursday 19th September at Somerset House, and I was there with a friend who'd scored tickets for free - total legend. It was an incredible experience, pretty commercial during the day, but when sponsored by Maybelline and Vodafone you can guarantee an insane amount of freebies! Safe to say the make up & nail varnish collection has expanded a LOT thanks to those companies - much appreciated ;)
Canon also had a stall, 'Canon 360', where they used about 40 cameras all positioned around a stage-come-studio (honestly can't describe it better than that) that take a photo at once. When all the photos are put together once camera at a time it creates a 360 photo / video - so sick! Check out the results on Instagram #canonfashion #canon360
In the evening the catwalk kicked off - featuring collections that had appeared in London Fashion Week itself, but were being allowed by their designers to be viewed by a public audience. Vodafone absolutely nailed it by having iPhone chargers in the front row seats only, so not only did I get a sick view, I also got some pretty decent pictures (for an Iphone standard anyway) because my phone was no longer in danger of dying - result.
Overall it was a top afternoon, and the fun wasn't over...

Half Pipe London 10th Anniversary Bash
A couple of weeks ago I headed up to London and met my friend Josh Ward-Brickett (Skates and Ladders) to go and hit up the Half Pipe London skate and snowboard shop birthday bash! After braving it through the rain (and it was torrential rain, not the shitty stuff we usually suffer with in September) we got to the tube station and the RMSKATE boys picked us up so we didn't arrive at the pub too soggy. The place was reserved for Half Pipe only and the vibe was epic, sweet tunes and raffle with some sick prizes, including a Bonfire jacket that another friend of mine picked up whilst she was there! Rad!
All of us got to pick up a goodie bag with posters, stickers etc, and generally everyone had a pretty awesome night - unfortunately for me I had to leg it to the tube before the party really kicked off #trainproblems, but from what I heard from those that were there until the early hours it was a sick night!
Props to the Half Pipe boys for throwing an awesome bash, can't wait for the same next year!
Check out their Instagram for more pics from the night... @halfpipelondon

@blitz_academy PHILOSOPHY edit from The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead! These guys, including myself, form the Blitz Academy Freestyle Team who are based in Hemel but are reppin' across the UK in various comps and jams. The main focus here is progression and just having fun and this is lead by our trainer, the super sound Mark King, who unfortunately broke himself at Gap Nation recently! Gutted! Heal soon man, but in the mean time enjoy the results of the last two of our training sessions and the sounds of Rudimental Not Giving In...

FBBB BOARDS#!TL£$S
At the end of a very cold January I headed down to the city to support my boys at FBBB holding the BOARDS#!TL£$S art exhibition at The Circle tattoo shop off Oxford street. Not your usual exhibition, this was focused on skate and snowboards - my kind of vibe. As an art student I was so stoked to be there for the opening and to meet some of the artists I've used as inspiration for my own art projects - nothing like having your own work complimented by someone you look up to! Such an epic night looking at artwork, meeting new people with the same interests and rinsing the free Sailor Jerry's - standard ;)
Overall it was a huge success, unfortunately for me all my pictures of the opening night were lost (me and iPhones don't have good history) so I went back with a good friend who couldn't make it to the opening and took some more (better) photos with my new camera, oooh exciting.
