Thinking about how post-war Levi would let his hair grow out a bit.

Without the constant rush and stress of military life weighing him down, he lets himself relax a little bit. He finds himself paying more attention to the things around him; Gaby and Falco are constantly visiting him, he's started his own garden in his backyard and he's a frequent vistor to the farmer's market just down the street.

Next thing he knows, his hair is tickling his ears a bit more than usual, strands of dark hair constantly falling over his eyes. The feeling is strange, but it's also...freeing.

Surprisingly, he trusts Jean enough to give his hair a simple cut— something to reshape and style the new length he's grown. Rest assured, the retired Captain was constantly threatening his former subordinate with a good whack to the head with his cane if he so much as messed up the haircut.

When Jean is done and hands over a mirror for Levi to judge the new cut, he can't help but notice the subtle upward quirk of his former Captain's lips.

He just seems so...peaceful.

Update:

I'm so beyond tired right now :") College has been so fun and challenging in the best of ways, but it has taken so much from me to keep up.

I'm currently focusing on what's to come after graduation and reminding myself that things will be okay no matter how scary the unknown may seem🥹
