If I remember correctly, back in season 2 when the Doctor, Rose and Mickey crash landed in a parallel universe, the Doctor had to energize the power cell to get back to their own universe.

The only way to energize the power cell is from something of their universe, that is why they didn’t use any energy from the parallel universe to energize it because it wouldn’t have worked.

There is a question I have on my mind…

After watching season 11-13 with the thirteenth doctor and the ‘timeless child’, tecteun told the doctor that she may not have been from the universe that she knows. That she may have come from a different universe from a wormhole and that’s how she ended up by herself when tecteun found her.

But if that were the case, wouldn’t the Doctor be unable to energize the power cell from that universe if he were from a different one instead?

It could be just a plot hole but I was just curious what other people thought. Maybe I’m remembering it wrong… it has been about a year since I’ve seen the early seasons.
