thinking of them possibly cutting the camo kiss just makes me angry about all the literally so significant ian scenes they’ve cut before like
his conversation with linda after kash runs away which shows how kind he is because he stays to comfort her
the 5x01 sex and hallucination scene that lets us know where he is emotionally and how important his life with mickey is to him, which was really needed in that episode
the s6 scene with all his emt co-workers, where they talk about how the hardest people to deal with on the job are the mentally ill, and we get to see how out of place ian feels, which makes the i am handicapped speech even more significant
his reaction to losing his first patient and how it makes him shut down, which is a coping mechanism we already knew he had and which is such important insight into his brain
the scene with him and lip at the end of s7 where he talks about not going to mexico with mickey, and it’s clear to us that he’s unsure of whether it was the right choice
these aren’t just small moments cut for time, they’re instrumental to his storyline and to understanding him, and they just. leave them out
