really glad that I have curated my fandom experience such that every time I see a post complaining about the rampant demonization or hatred of a female character I don't even know who they could possibly be referring to because my dash is 100% support for women's wrongs. I cannot think of the last time I saw a condemnation of a fictional woman even though I am assured that it is happening somewhere. on my dash a woman can literally eat people and the whole chat will still stan her

What really affected me with Egwene's dreamwalking is that this is a woman who has lost a bit of herself and her connection to others due to trauma. She uses Tel'aran'rhiod to reach out to her loved ones, whether they are physically or emotionally cut off from her. They cannot see or hear her though, so Egwene is haunting them, content in seeing them at peace again. In turn, we see through the characters' dream that sleep is the space where we can find again those we lost, those who are far away from us, those we will lose, even those we can never be.

Sleep becomes the last refuge from grief. Unlike memories it is a world in its own right where the people we lost persist and where we can meet them.

And that might be one of the truest, kindest depictions of grief I've seen recently.

It got me how much Moiraine sincerelly smiled this episode. Even facing death and the feeling that all their sacrifices were for nothing, she has smiled in a way we've never seen for three seasons. Even with sadness in her eyes, it feels like a burden has been lifted.

besides the jump scare of THAT moiraine/rand scene, i liked they kept that she would indeed fuck her way into controling rand and i loved that they added that she considered doing the same with lanfear.
