And this scene is a parallel to the end of season 3 which brings me to no. 4 !

The end of s3 looks like Mike had a realisation 😭. El literally kissed him infront of wills opened closet,they had wills teddy bear between them (and also from what I’ve seen bear represents Will in the series idk if I’m right!) and Mikes eyes were WIDE OPEN, he just looked uncomfortable (or how do I say it) and waited for the kiss to end, and this was his reaction right after that when el walked out of the room.

It just looks like bro has realised smth🐺. The hug with Karen was also after the final scene with the main six when hopper was reading the letter he wrote! And this sentence was said when the camera was focusing on mike ,, But lately, I guess I've been feeling distant from you. To make things go back to how they were.” (Not all of this was in the scene with mike&karen but I still wanted to count that in cuz it was focused on Will for a moment of it🤞and its really byler coded if you think abt it.)

Okay so after listening to the recording a bunch of times I heard some new things that were not originally heard and I think I’m on to something. First of all the person that is screaming is 100% Will, but I don’t think it’s Steve he warning I think it’s Mike. The first thing Will screams never sounded like “Steve” to me and on closer listen it really sounds like he’s yelling “MIKE”. This would make a lot of sense given other leaks and theories we have, Holly goes missing so Mike and Will team up to look for her just like how Johnathon teamed up with Nancy. This would explain why they’re in the upside down together (I’m asumming they’re shooting in the upside down rn). Also Will is 100% getting possessed and I think he’s fighting Mike in this scene, he’s telling Mike to run so he doesn’t hurt him but Mike doesn’t listen and things escalate. This would make sense with the (not confirmed) leak of Mike getting badly hurt and going to the hospital, I mean the fight sounds pretty brutal and there’s also a clip of Finn talking about have fake blood in his mouth and he started saying “there’s a lot-“ but cuts himself off when answering about not being a stranger to gruesome stuff.

This does however make Will kissing Mikes forehead a little sad, he probably feels so bad for hurting Mike. I feel like Wills gonna try to distance himself from Mike in fear he’s gonna hurt him again (praying I’m wrong I really want more byler scenes 😭)

@greenfiend I was thinking about Lover's Lake in Joyce's room. The truth behind the curtain, something about what, imo, happened to Hopper and Joyce there in the past, and what will happen to Will and Mike in S5

I found another connection. You noticed the blue and yellow sheets on Reefer Rick's bed

Hopper also has blue and yellow bed sheets in S3, and his room has no door, only a curtain :)

I feel like it’s most likely going to be Holly who disappears. She almost got taken by the demogorgon in s1, Vecna’s vision of Holly dying (?), and she’s framed with as much significance at the end of s4 as the other mains. She also saw El walking around in s1 and overheard the Vecna convo in s4 so she kind of already knows things (she doesn’t know what it means but she’s heard of it before). It would be an easy way to get Karen and Ted to find out about everything.

If we assume the asterisks link to the letters in the name, the other options are Karen and Nancy. I can’t see Nancy going missing… Karen maybe? But Holly makes the most sense to me.
