Dear New Simblrs (Or Any Simblr, Really),
It’s okay.
I know right now, it seems a little rough. You feel like you’re not getting many notes. You make cc and hardly anyone likes or reblogs.
But it’s okay.
I’m not a huge simblr by any means. If you take a look a my stuff some of my cc has only 30 notes. Some have 600+.
Not everyone is going to like what you put out.
But that’s okay.
You might start a legacy or a story and it may get two notes. When I started mine I got no notes. One on occasion.
But I kept at it.
Why?
I started a simblr for myself.
I didn’t start my simblr to be the most popular, I didn’t start it to be someone I’m not, I started it because I wanted to.
I’ve continued to run my simblr the way I want to run my simblr. I know the people who follow me are the ones who enjoy my content, whether they’re following for the Barbers or the Saldanas or Anika or maybe just following for my custom content, they follow me because of what I choose to put out.
Pay less attention to numbers. They don’t matter as much as you think they do. It doesn’t matter if you have 10 followers, 100 followers or 1,000 followers, it is the quality of the people you have supporting you.
You can have 1,000 followers and still get five notes on your posts, I still do and I’m okay with it.
If I get just one person to like my post then I know somewhere I may have contributed to someones overall well being and happiness.
Don’t give up because of the numbers. Stay because of the potential.

Brindelton Bay - Day 6 - Speed Dates - Garden 3/3
Prince Spencer had a rocky start with the dates but they got better as the day went. He knows not everyone shares his same views what he needs to know is how they feel about him doesn’t decrease all because of one thing.

Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day. As a Holocaust Historian, I have specifically devoted myself to working on the history of women and gender in the Holocaust, and bringing those histories ever-closer to mainstream historical memory.
So, I’d like to link you all to a few pieces of writing I’ve done on the topic. An 11-part post series about Vladka Meed, a Jewish woman who smuggled explosives into the Warsaw Ghetto in preparation of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. A profile of Hannah Szenes, a Hungarian Jewish paratrooper who worked behind Nazi lines in services of the SOE (Special Operations Executive, same as Peggy Carter and Noor Khan).
A thinkpiece about how we misuse the memory of Anne Frank.
An assessment of how Holocaust memory is shaped by male experiences, and an analysis of what we miss through this centering of the male experience.
