Nikki is NOT involved in the LOL AU, she is solely my oc, and I do not intend her to get her involved with the other storyline.

This was a quick ref made for artfight, ideally I will update with better refs later.

Name: Nicholas Hamato, or Nikki. Formerly Nine K.

Pronouns: She/her (for the time being).

Age: 16*.

Species: Cohauilan box turtle.

Weapon o. Choice: Naginata, temporarily a nagamaki (mystic weapon).

Mask color: Indigo.

*16 at the beginning of the show, therefore making her the same age as Raph.

Backstory:

Created by the same incident as the other turtles, but the explosion ended up with her ending up on her own, only to be later discovered by the people of The Council, who by context clues concluded this had to be the creation of Baron Draxum, but had no real evidence to accuse him of it, therefore they kept the creature hidden in their facilities. They eventually realized the creature was a sentient being, one with a seeming proficiency for battle, so it was decided to train her into one of their special forces.

Dubbed Agent Nine Thousand, or Nine K for convenience, she became a member of the Mystic City's Special Forces at the age of 14. Just a couple years later she was assigned the task of tracking down a group of criminals that escaped the city's prison (events of Tales of the Mystic City).

This created the snowball effect of Nikki meeting her brothers, ditching the force, and eventually finding herself with her real family.

Current Story:

Though most of her family was quick to forgive her former antagonization (she was, never much of a threat, playing mostly the role of an easily disposable Villain of the Week); Nikki still can't help but feel the odd one out, she just, missed so much stuff. Her, very strict upbringing has made her naturally very serious and perhaps out of touch with her emotions, yet just as much more anxious and insecure than her brothers, turns out much of her confidence came from The Uniform, and since she ditched it she's turned into the shrinking violet of the team. In a way, she is jealous of their confidence and ability to just be, themselves, but also admires them for it.

Interactions with her brothers

Raph: Honestly, he makes her anxious sometimes; his approach to leadership is the opposite of what she is used to and it stresses her out. But over time she starts to recognize the position he's been put on just for being the eldest, she can relate a lot to having expectations put on you by external forces and they manage to bond from there. They find a lot of fun in teasing about being the eldest of the team too.

Donnie: Though he distrusted her the most at first, Nikki found it quite easy to bond with Donnie after she started to show interest in his scientific explanations, she would just keep asking questions and he was happy to elaborate. Turns out that the two siblings whose identities were “odd one out of the family” were quick to bond over it. It helped that, even when provided with a mystic weapon, Nikki was unable to summon any magic from it, ergo also making them bond over not having mystic powers.

Leo: The second most distrustful brother. Also the one Nikki had the hardest time bonding with. Their personalities clash the most, with Nikki being so repressed and Leo so flamboyant, plus there seems to be a beef about trademarking the color blue. They don't actually dislike each other, but they are very different which means they clash often. And yet? He is probably the one she is the most jealous of, she both envies and admires his confidence and way with words|, not that she'd ever tell.

Mikey: Possibly the most baffling sibling relationship here, Nikki's personality should probably make her clash with Mikey a lot, yet she gets along very well with him. This is great amount because it was him who made the biggest effort to get her into the family, a shift that made things so much better for Nikki that she hasn't stopped being thankful for. He has given her a lot of patience in helping her adapt, and she gives him the same in return, even if this means losing many a last slice of pizza. 

Further Notes:

Nikki's storyline happens in what would be an extended season 2 second half.

I still haven't designed many details around Nikki, like how her weapon or mystic powers would look, along with some different outfits (pre-joining the turtles, Movie look, possibly a human cloaking device fit?)

Nikki is heightwise around the same size as the twins, but is intended to be wider.

Her boots were made by Donnie, he made them to help with her having sensory issues.

LAST ONE LEFT AU

LOL, or Last One Left is a ROTTMNT AU that posits an answer to the “what if” scenario of Hamato Yoshi not being mutated during the first collapse of Baron Draxum's lab, leading to him not taking the children in the process; instead coming back to the human world and continuing his career as a movie star. Meanwhile, the Baron trained the 4 turtles into a group of elite warriors bent on protecting yokai-kind from the menace of the surface.

This AU is a collaborative project between me and @discardedmilkywaywrapper, we are gradually developing it in our own time, and would prefer no questions about it for the time being, unless it's something regarding the current artfight event, over which you can reach me, and I will see if it's something we are willing to disclose. Otherwise we politely ask that you please do not message us about it until we have our information properly organized, we will make it clear when it's so.

She thought she was living the dream when she landed a job as a production assistant/coffee intern in the latest Lou Jitsu movie, what she was not expecting was to be thrown into a world full of evil ninja clans, mutants and mystic powers as a side effect. She, completely incidentally, proved herself to her idol by the way she dealt to with being unexpectedly thrown into this world; and the aging Yoshi gave her the offer to become his protegé to learn the ways of his clan. Needless to say she jumped at the chance. Hey, this metal shard that just got stuck on her bat is making this battles with supernatural beings really easy for some reason.

Note: In this universe, given Draxum named the turtles, instead of having their names be inspired on Renassaince painters, their names are inspired of yokai from history.

Raphael; or rather Yonakishi

The tall and quiet leader of the turtles, he speaks in short, precise sentences, he seems to have two modes, icy stoicism or searing rage.

So you see, given he has a baby face and is a sweetheart, the Baron gave him a mask that totally reshaped his face, and trained him to keep quiet in public. Despite outwardly looking so straightlace, Yona has been questioning the teachings of his father lately; he wants to be a hero and do the right thing, but is the destruction of humanity really a noble goal? Doesn't help he is slowly growing to admire that Lou Jitsu and his aprentice with their bold and unorthodox fighting styles.

Leo, or rather Mononoke

The face of the team, Mono does most of the talking for the turtles, from bartering to intimidation, he handles himself like a teathrical villain, building up on his father's presentation, but with more ✨️ PIZZAZ! ✨️

Mono believes being the best mystic warrior of the city is an amazing gig, a position his younger brother hasn't contestes due to having more fun not hamming it up; famous in the underworld, a cool vigilante on the surface, he takes it all in stride. Despite his cocky attitude and self appointed “loose canon” status, being raised by the Baron made him feel like he is always competing for a “The Best” title, and his brothers are all great contenders, so he has to stay on top of his game as the team's strategic mastermind to get that title. Completely unaware he is already slipping.

Further Notes:

Donnie and Mikey are named Zorigami (Zori, or Zee) and Okami (O.K.) respectively.

April only uses her vigilante costume in missions, and just uses her canon clothes in regular day to day life.

I do have a Lou Jitsu design, but given his appearance changes are very minor, I did not make a character ref for him (I didn't originally intended to upload the AU to artfight xP).

Despair is a joke character I came up with and got attached to, and rushed to make the for the event because I hoped she may also capture the interest of others. She is my sad wet . . . [too many animals to mention] of a woman and I love her.

Name: Despair.

Species: Draconequus.

Age: Mid 20s for her species.

Pronouns: She/her.

Body components:

Horns: gemsbok and pronghorn.

Ears: rabbit.

Wings: owl and raven.

Arms: dragon and octopus

Legs: rat and cat

Tail: anteater.

Bio:

Despair is the embodiment of the concept described in her name, hence why she is always crying in streams. An entity of gloom and sadness, with magic capabilities that warp the reality around her to fit her. Unlike the better known draconequs: Discord, she is a vastly more passive presence, mostly manifesting in a permanent raincloud above her. She also brings bad luck, which applies both to herself and anyone unlucky enough to be around her, existing in her vicinity will lead to you stepping in open paint buckets and breaking glass by walking into it, spending too much time in her presence eventually leads to crying as well, though it certainly can come from the aura of bad luck she emanates, it doesn't have to be, some even go as far to not notice they ever started crying.

Though Despair has strong enough magical abilities to reshape reality in the same way as Discord, her despondent disposition leads to her not wanting to even bother.
