hi anon!! i'm alright, been better for sure, but i'm still alive! the game is in a very similar state - it's alive, but not really thriving. it exists, but barely, and has not been making a lot of progress. : (

i haven't been active recently on this blog for a couple of reasons, most of which boil down to what the cool youth of today would call "weaksauce mental" and not having a lot of free time. i've graduated about a year ago (:D) and have been working a full-time job since (D:) which has been surprisingly exhausting, not to mention time consuming. how do people have the energy to do things! working has made me appreciate the huge amounts of effort you all put into making creative things, and helped me realize that i'm a bit fucked up. it'll probably be a while until i pick development up again at a pace that enables posting semi-regular updates. sorry! : (

Silly question about the whump game!

Will there be a sandbox mode? Like money doesn't matter and you can just go ham for the sake of going ham? Or maybe like a settings option were you can turn off certain things like uhhh

Hunger level, money, player's energy (if there's an energy bar), stuff like that? Like you could maybe customize the limitations?

I'm sorry if that's complicated or goes against your vision for your game, I know how it sucks when ppl step over your ideas, but I do think an option to just go full blown cathartic fantasy might be nice.

hello! currently, i have a debug mode set up since i sometimes need to go ham just to see if what i want to happen ends up happening - so yes, there will be a way to just fuck around with little limitation. it'll probably be some customizable options like hunger/health/healing modifiers. : ) also, don't worry about "steping over ideas" no no, i love all suggestions!!!

Ah thank you so much!!! :D This made my day, I am so happy someone else cares about that little pathetic meow meow. And of course! I decided to combine the request, so this is him trying his best not to cry (after Cedric just confirmed every single one of his insecurities) and failing spectacularly. He doesn't cry much but being called unlovable by the very person he cares the most about will do that to him.

lab whump but it's the scientist who's in trouble. chemical spills, mixing things and making poisonous gasses (been there done that), being attacked by research animals, electrical zaps, eye trauma from chemicals (also been there done that), not to mention the sickfic possibilities. often experiments are time sensitive so you can't let them run past their time even if you're too sick to go to work, standing in the incubator room to get warm from fever chills, standing in the walk in refrigerator to bring down a fever, shaking hands trying to pipette, trying to remember protocols through fever fog and messing up, etc. there's so much there :)
