omg a small trc ask just to say SHAKING HANDS on the favs question, i also carry blue and adam everywhere in my pocket and haven’t yet seen another person with the same preferences YAY!! particularly love the blue adam gansey dynamic and how adam has divorced both of them at a point in time… to me

now now. let us give credit where credit is due. adam may seem like he’s serving divorce papers courtesy of his classes in the declan language but blue nofatherfiguresoibecamethefatherfigure sargent dumped HIS ass. gansey tho…divorced real bad. but yes. u get it. they are both metaphorically with me at all times and literally with me at all times as in i keep photos of them in my wallet like a soldier at war. for me, blue is so refreshing to read bc she’s just a no bullshit person. she doesn’t bother being small in the way women feel they have to be (other than. you know. LITERALLY small). she takes up space she speaks her mind she’s unafraid to be affectionate. i think of that quote from adam in trb “it seemed to adam that this circular way to build relationships required a healthy amount of self-confidence to undertake” in reference to how he’s unsure if they all just became friends or if blue treated them that way first. i am unbelievably admirable of people that are immediately comfortable with others like that. so i love her bad is what im trying to say

idk something in the wind said "ask you about trc" so, while I worry this will seem like a copout I have to ask:

what's a trc thing that just loops on your mind constantly, like you just want to talk about you need someone to give you a reason to talk about it, and you are waiting for the right moment (this is the moment i can be ANYTING)

the thing that loops in my head i pretty much dont shut up about. the people tried but im just too not shutting up about it. recent finding tho. we all know “a place made for leaving” “that’s not really an answer” “it’s not really a place” but consider “once arthur knew the grail existed how could he not look for it?” “that’s not really an answer” “i need to, blue”. i don’t know how to reveal myself. i will give this partial truth but not the whole truth because the whole truth is what i can’t admit to myself, is what im terrified is all i am!! even tho she’s already called both of their bluffs here. adam and gansey are so crazy similar which i know is v much a plot point and i go on about a lot, but even in small dialogues like this they make me SO .

it’s just so fascinating that they answer the same way even in this context. adam doesn’t want to reveal where he comes from gansey doesn’t want to reveal why he’s searching bc both are ashamed of the truth they might find there. that gansey’s search is his purpose that otherwise his second chance at life was for nothing that he’s just another undeserving entitled condescending rich kid destined to produce more undeserving entitled condescending rich kids. that he himself cant be that something more which is why he wishes to look on the inside like the camaro which is to say more like adam. that adam’s upbringing the poverty the abuse is all people see on him that he can’t become something more bc it’s rooted too deeply within him. then here comes this new addition of blue who does not really know them yet but begins to naturally see them both as the way they want to be seen aka as this something more so naturally they latch to that feeling hence the hesitation to explain even tho blue, who never gets enough credit for being just as perceptive as adam albeit FAR more self-aware, is like guys i actually already have u two figured out

that fear of being seen the way they see themselves and yet are convinced everyone else sees them as anyways. it’s like hey ur buddy kinda feels the exact same way but lock them in a room together and they’re like he couldnt POSSIBLY understand he is just so Other so Good so much Better than ill EVER be and i am NOTHING. theyallhatedmegoobgif

i think piper greenmantle was such an absolute diva and she deserved main villaindom

banging my gavel. adjourned. correct. i dont spend a lot of time thinking about her but in retrospect yeah who else was doing it like her? she cares about the environment, she’s part of the community, she’s confident in her appearance. her and blue COULD have gotten along if those were the criteria. unfortunately she did kill my boy jesse and unleash a demon but was she not productive? did she not have great work ethic? i do have trouble with most of the trc “villains” bc they’re there to briefly stir the p(l)ot and then fuck off in the same chapter. but if we gave main villaindom to one i would not be mad at piper greenmantle stroking a bengal in her lap. men, do man things. thanks for the ask! check your bank account
