Some time after Hell Bent, Clara takes the TARDIS to a place just outside Earth, 1957, and rescues Laika from Sputnik 2. While the world mourns Laika's supposed death, Clara and Me take her along on their adventures through space and time. Their TARDIS already carries two people who kept on living even after they should have died, what's one more? Perhaps in time the three of them pick up more kindred spirits, snatched from their timelines, moments before their demise.

Many years later, Laika dies of old age. And though her last moments are still aboard a spaceship, this time she is not alone. Clara and Me bury her on Earth. She made it home, the long way round.

Can’t believe they released the actual, fully real script for the finale. There’s a bit missing so not entirely sure how we get to the end but hey at least nobody gets nailed (except in the sexy way *wink wink*)
