Manacles on the mind. Characters that are restrained so often that they have shackles around their ankles and wrists, and a big heavy metal collar around their neck. Never allowed to take them off. Always one padlock and a length of chain away from being hung off the ceiling. Ankle chain peeking out from under the bed covers, wrist manacles locked together, heavy collar made heavier with chains leashing them to a metal loop in the floor, literally chained to their desk, bruising under the metal that was so tight at first but nowadays clinks against protruding bones with every shift. Lasting marks that never go away.

give them some heavy metal jewellery theyll like it and more importantly theyll look so so pretty and it will be much harder for them to forget their place and they will grow used to the constant pressure and even when taken off they will find it weird not to have their shackles and collar on and they'll feel anxious and naked and will want the little bracelets whumper gave them back and please put some heavy restraints onto a pathetic quivering little guy who looks like he couldn't lift a single pebble on their own for me its like enrichment for them and especially me its my enrichment do it for me i must feed

Ask Doctor Elmore: Episode One Announcement

It's finally time! The team behind Ask Doctor Elmore is very excited to announce the release of our first ever episode: Public Service Broadcast.

Ask Doctor Elmore is a science-fiction audio drama, inspired by the likes of Red Valley and Wolf 359. Come join Doctors Elmore and Clarke as they work to cure the mysterious Ascension Virus. Everything, however, may not be entirely as it seems.

From harmless beagles to crowning stages, Doctor Elmore is here to answer all your questions about the Ascension Virus. Feel free to ask your questions to this blog, for a chance of having them answered on a future episode!

It sounded like a scam. It sounded like a pie-in-the-sky dream, something that only happened in a fantasy, not in real life. It's enough money to pay off your house, your loans, your debt. Enough money to save your life, to get that surgery, to go on your dream vacation to buy that gold-encrusted toilet you've always wanted.

All in exchange for one little clinical trial? That doesn't seem so bad. So after some research, you decide to go for it.

But you didn't read the fine print.

Fine Print is a Hero/Villain whump OC-only roleplay server on Discord. After getting an offer for a clinical trial for the mysterious Institute for Human Advancement (IHA), your character was flown to a great structure of steel and glass, off the coast of New Orleans, in the Gulf of Mexico.

Of course, this clinical trial was much more than they bargained for. They never bargained for superpowers, or having a chip implanted in their neck. Never planned on being a secret agent under threat of death.

A hundred thousand dollars— enough to save a life, risk a life, and ruin one.

This server offers an exciting story, in-universe secrets and mysteries, and the opportunity to play as a whumpee, whumper, caretaker, or any other sort of combination! It also includes both text chat-style channels and long-form style text roleplay.

Any form of whump or roleplay is welcome! Pet whump, lab whump, medical whump, spy and team whump, hero and villain of course, all of the above, and more! The server itself is plot-centric and there will be a DM loosely running the server, and there will be server-wide events from time to time just to shake things up and keep the story interesting. You are also free to create your own stories and build your own connections with whomever strikes your fancy!

This server is SFW and 18+. Please remember that this is a welcoming environment meant primarily for roleplaying. No queerphobia, racism, or any other form of bigotry will be tolerated, and we ask that discussion of politics also be left at the door. Rescued whumpee who is still defiant and denying caretaker's care. It takes some time for caretaker to realise the trauma hidden behind whumpee's snarky behavior.

Would work well with a teen whumpee and caretaker becoming whumpee's legal guardian

List of my favourite Whump tropes and Whumper dialogue because I’ve always wanted to do one of these, I’m bored, and I can’t be bothered writing a fully-fledged story™ 🦅 🦅 🦅

I specialise in female Whumpers, so if your perception of any of these is in a male tone and not a masculine, broad-shouldered, long-haired, sardonic woman’s, I’m suing.

“There you are.” / “There you go.” / “Easy.” Said coaxingly to a whumpee manhandled to the ground, bloody and sweating rankly.

The whumpee’s behaviour has been fine-tuned by the whumper. They accompany them to a formal event in tailored clothes with their hair trimmed to the whumper’s liking until all of that decorum is thrown out the window by an extenuating circumstance, perhaps an ally they haven’t seen in years who recognises them.

The whumper parroting the whumpee’s words when they’re begging.

“Hold back their head.” The whumper addresses someone else about the whumpee, explicitly ignoring the whumpee themselves. If they refuse to eat, that autonomy will be taken from them.

The whumper has experience. Whumpee, hiding somewhere nondescript, hears their footsteps on the ground but doesn’t understand how the whumper could know where they are. Unbeknownst to them, other prisoners in the past fled to this place.

The whumper idles in a task unrelated to the torture at hand such as taking notes for the record or conversing with the whumpee, who fumbles deliriously for the right words. This intermission could end at any moment.

Sleeping in the whumper’s bed. Whether the whumpee likes it or not, they’re going to be held. Who else will coo into their ear after a night terror? If the whumper notices a change in the whumpee overnight, the temperature or smell of their skin, they tell them, “You’ll stay in tomorrow.”

Encouragement from the whumper for the whumpee to give in to sedation. The whumpee stares at a cup, the contents of which they have already drunk, the whumper smiling at them. They hurl any object they can get their hands on at the whumper and try to run, but slam into the floor. The whumper pulls the whumpee towards their chest. “Sh, sh.” / “Lie down.” / “That’s it.”

We all love lab whump and military whump, but

What is your opinion on military lab whump? Science man in work uniform with lab coat on top? Wrestling your subject into lab chair with military CQC? Taking advice and comment from fellow science man but barking order at the subject? Watching new subject through shatter proof glass wall? Refuse to give any info but name and ID number when captured?

Glad you asked! Those are two of my favorite whump genres. Those are all some great ideas too, I am stealing those for later use 👀

I love some good military grade lab-made Whumpee content, and people talk a lot about the scientist doing the whumping but what about the scientists *being* the Whumpees?

Like, not just sick scientists but they are forced to do research? Forced to work till exhaustion is similar but same point.

Traded like pawns between the highest bidder? Kidnapped, even, to do something the bad guys want them to do, even if they don’t want to?

Forced to do unethical experiments on their friends or random civilians, because it will “further humanity”?

I know this is kind of a ramble but there’s so much potential here.

There’s a reason why that captured scientist image is one of my favorite whump refs of all time, lol…

World were people with magic are basically glorified weapons

Their powers aren’t even really their own

There are collars/devices to keep their powers in check

There are yearly tests to see if any magical abilities have developed

My favorite flavor of institutional pet whump is when. Hear me out. Humans domesticate and keep nonhumans as pets (I'm particularly partial to vampires being the pets).

People parading their pet nonhumans around on leashes, showing them off at parties, etc. It becomes a sort of a bragging right to have one, even more so if someone has more than one.

Humans justifying it because "they were evil, now we domesticated them." And maybe the nonhuman pets really were evil, or maybe not, but it doesn't change how they're being degraded.

Some pet owners treat their pets gently and pamper them. Others... do not.

Regardless of how they're treated, the institution/organization (the government? A private company? Something else?) that "domesticates" the pets probably doesn't treat them too well and the "taming" process is probably unpleasant.

I’m kinda picky about whump (not in a “whump I don’t like is bad whump!” way, I just have a handful of particular squicks and interests), but the concept sounds really fun
