ok but whumper with cannibalistic tendencies who forces whumpee to partake. Forcing them to eat a part of their loved one. Making them unknowingly eat body parts removed from the whumpee themself, like a limb or an organ. Making whumpee feel like they're just as bad as whumper despite being forced, and that there's no humanity to return to even if they ever do manage to escape from whumper.

walk with me. when a whumpee who was held captive with constant manacles/handcuffs, years later, after rescue and recovery of all the physical wounds, wears a too-tight watch or a clinky charm bracelet and is suddenly thrown back to then - and scrambles to take it off, just get it off, to the shock and confusion of the people around them. bonus points if the jewellery was a gift, bonus bonus points if they get damaged or broken in the panic and the ex-whumpee ends up, through their ptsd-fueled haze, apologising profusely and ignoring the fact that their loved one cares far more about them than the gift anyway

The whumper kept tabs of every whumpee that had managed to “escape”, just to see how adjusted they were, or how much they crumbled under the pressure of trying to get better. The whumper’s entertainment never truly came to an end- trapped or not, their captives would never truly escape them.
