This isn’t targeted at all but I wanted to talk about it

I did not know about the allegations against scruff before I bought the mask. I bought the mask because it was cheap and one of my theriotypes, that’s it. If I knew it was going to be such a big deal to have bought something, I wouldn’t have bought it.

I’m not necessarily trying to defend scruff’s actions. I don’t agree with the situation at all. But it’s not as black and white as everyone is trying to make it seem. All I’m trying to do is clear up the misinformation being said when I see it.

I’ve distanced myself from scruff since then and I want to distance myself from this situation as a whole.

Simply, I bought this mask with my own money and it’s my first proffesional mask. As much as I would love to put it up to avoid all of this, it’s not fair to me or the money I spent. This mask makes me happy because it is again, my theriotype and my first proffesional mask, regardless of who owned it before me.

How do you know if you are a therian?

Ooo this is a tough question and I’m probably not gonna describe it well but I’ll give it a shot!

For almost a year I was honestly in denial about it, even though many of the signs were there such as mental shifting, phantom limbs, ect. But once I saw a video by birdydogs explaining it it made a lot more sense to me

The best way that I can describe it is to think about your (potential) theriotype and compare it to your own identity. For this example I’ll use dogs since that was my experience. If dogs simply never existed, would my identity feel the same? And for me that answer was no just due to how many shared traits we have and how much my friends had called me dog-related terms of endearment. (And again due to all those mental shifts and other “symptoms” I experienced)

And again, I’m probably not the best person to tell you so I would suggest doing your research from other therians experiences, and watch other YouTube videos (I would not suggest TikTok)

It’s so nice having someone who actually loves me as I am- I feel like so many exes didn’t make me feel comfy enough about my therianthropy but my current bf sees me dressing up as a dog and he just says I’m so cute and silly and says my therianthropy is an “unusual bonus” <3

He doesn’t fully understand but he sees how happy I get from it and how happy I get when he calls me pup (sfw) so he doesn’t mind
