Wildegeist -> Wildenox

I rebranded. Here's why.

I'm gonna keep this as brief as I can because this is exhausting and weird.

Old handle was Wildegeist. I had the name since 2019, and at the time it wasn't taken anywhere else online. It really felt like my kind of name and I was happy with it. However, around two years later, some other person started taking the name, snapping it up on basically any site I wasn't already on, and stalking me around in some of the spaces where I did have the name. I kind of just ignored it and thought nothing of it at first. They started getting really creepy about it though, tracking me all the way to Discord attempting to contact me, which really freaked me out- this person had been watching me for years. I did a google search just to see what was up, and basically, this is someone who just felt entitled to my name and was aggressively using it for their own business branding. They even registered a whole dot-com domain (with AI generated graphics) to run me out of search results (which matters a little to me when I'm trying not to get confused with someone like this, and I put my own work out under this name). What's more, they used this name for their music, and I also put out music under this name.

So basically they were overriding me everywhere on purpose to the point we were getting mixed up, and they were stalking me, and I just didn't want to deal with it because I have enough going on. This sucks, but there's not much I can do and it's not worth it. I'm tired. I'm changing my handle because I don't want to be confused with this weirdo (google turns up 50% them and 50% me, it's badly mixed), and because I want them to leave me alone.

I think this goes without saying but obviously, don't seek this person out or give them attention. I'm just explaining why I changed my username everywhere and dispelling confusion.

Anyway, going forward, I'm Wildenox. While I don't like the circumstances I decided to change my name under, making the decision brings me a little peace after this, and I'm glad I could come up with something similar to my old handle that I also like.
