For the Splatoon 3 hype -- I decided to redraw Oca!

I wanna rework on my cast of octolings now that I'm older and Splatoon brought us playable octolings, and intergrate these guys into the Splatoon 3 setting.

Amongst the city of chaos, some may intergrate themselves into the city, some may be wandering in the lawless wastelands, some may still be underground with the Octarians.

They don't hang out as a large group anymore. The octolings simply have far too different approaches to the potential intergration with the surface dwellers.

ask-the-octolings/octoling-fever may not return as a result though -- I have relatively poor work ethic and struggling with quarantine schooling -- I don't trust myself to keep an ask blog running at the moment lol. I don't even draw daily anymore.

Fiona was being called a cockroach in the community because of her passages allowing her to zip around obstacles, so I took upon that cursed concept and made something decent

Mainly went in with the idea of creating armour pieces due to insects having an exoskeleton, ended up with adding "wasteland survivor" into the mix.

This could be an S tier but I would probably have to make her more complicated than this, tho I do think the antennas would have physics so it flows along with movement.

You like Hazbin Hotel? That’s awesome! Make your Alastor theories and ship every couple under the sun. Make fan art, write fic, speculate for the rest of the season. Don’t let tumblr’s cancel culture make you lose your interest.

You’re still superwholock? That’s banging. So much of us are struggling with disconnecting and distancing ourself from the things we used to love, bc of an unfortunate combination of peer pressure and mental illness. The fact that you’re still creating and consuming content is amazing. Keep at it.

You like “cliche” or “overrated” musicals? Of course you do! Shows like Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, Heathers, Be More Chill, Beetlejuice, and Anastasia are popular for a reason, and you clearly understand the craze. In 2020 may you continue to discover new musicals (I recommend Next to Normal and In the Heights, personally) but never lose your love for the musicals that made you love Broadway.

Cringe culture is dead. I’m killing it now. Life is too damn short to be ashamed of the things you like, or to let other people make you feel bad for liking it. The world needs more radiance and positivity.

In 2020, write the fic. Draw the art. Listen to kpop and Taylor Swift and dance around your room. Engage (kindly) with your favorite creators, spread love, and make fandom a fun experience again.

Reworking my Hunter!Dancer. A relatively slow moving hunter, but has a sweeping range attack and a music box to slow down/speed up herself and others.

Charged attack is probably some kind of a spin attack?

A tool that I’ve found is really handy is a called the Cash Clock. It’s a simple program that measures both the time that you’re working on a piece as well as how much money you should be earning. You can adjust the hourly wage to whatever you feel is right. Simply start the clock whenever you begin working on a project right up until you’re finished. It can give you a clear indication of what you should charge for commissions.

No artist should make below minimum wage for their artwork.

- Mind's Eye (well... Mind's Eye)

- Mechanic (Mangled Mechanic)

- Dancer (Distressed Dancer)

- Mercenary (no name yet)

- Gardener (Dodderganger)

- Seer (Fate Sealer)

...only Seer can speak properly.

This is why I cannot run an ask blog for my swapped hunters

- Mind's Eye and Mechanic SCREECHES

- Dancer can only make noises with a music box

- Mercenary is literally just floating fabrics

- Gardener can only speak properly when taking over a survivor

- Seer can speak but chose not to speak any more than necessary

...Not the greatest for interactions...

How could I go on about Dodderganger without mentioning her dad?

Introducing Leo Beck Edwin Walker, the Toymaker! He carries two puppets with in (can be found in chests), which when throw at one thing will complete a task relevant to said thing! From decoding to healing to stunning, the puppets can do it all!

Edwin came to the Manor for the priced money, of course, but he was also promised to see his dearest family member...

I've not posted about Dodderganger before? Well here she is.

Dodderganger is my own interpretation of a Hunter Gardener. Out of some far-fetched idea that does NOT mirror her Survivor abilities, Dodderganger is a glorified Mimikyu who can swap bodies with other survivors.

I am so sorry this is my only other (updated) drawing of her back view

Anyway, when I say she can swap bodies, she gets rid of her fear radius and can use the survivor's item with minimal efficiency, or none if the item only has once use and no recharges. She can also perform fake actions, appearing to be decoding/entering password/opening chests but grants zero progress, as well as vault.

In return, the victim of the swappening has to chase down the hunter in order to regain their body. The victim can still choose to decode, but their fear radius would confuse other survivors, and neither the victim nor hunter can escape when swapped.

Oh yeah, the name is a combination of dodder, a type of leafless parasitic plant that twirls around plants and suck off their nutrients, and doppelganger. A legit Pokémon name

Oh did I mention that the Survivor-like appearance is an actual sac she made to look like a person? Because underneath is just a skull and lots and lots of hideous tendrils?
