pointless rambling beneath the cut
considering what happened with his little brother i think that michael would maintain an emotional distance from elizabeth, but still step in where his father is failing. especially with their mom inexplicably out of the picture, you know? he's at least 10 years older than her and he's all she really has
i'm entirely ignoring that one book with the wackass art of elizabeth that describes her as spoiled because she really genuinely does not come across that way to me. she's innocently seeking attention from the one person who ought to, and it doesn't seem like she gets nearly enough of it
do you think he knew what happened to elizabeth when his dad sent him down there to go find her?
obviously he was angry after getting scooped and becoming a husk of himself, but something about seeing his sister... like that. hearing her describe in detailed metaphor how it felt to die. was that what finally drove him to vengeance?
mike really tried to be a better brother than he was to his little brother. he tried, and it happened all over again
