Movie Review #1
Five feet apart edition
so, it's summer, which unfortunately means I have nothing better to do than binge watch movies & shows, so I figured why not do something useful with all this time I'm spending. With that being said, welcome to my first movie review! So, I just watched the movie Five feet apart, which in sure most of you have heard of because I'm like, 3 months late seeing it. It's that sappy romance movie starting the insanely attractive Cole Sprouse, sound familiar? So, here's a quick overview;
"Seventeen-year-old Stella spends most of her time in the hospital as a cystic fibrosis patient. Her life is full of routines, boundaries, and self-control -- all of which get put to the test when she meets Will, an impossibly charming teen who has the same illness. There's instant flirtation, thigh restrictions dictate that they must maintain a safe distance between them. As their connection intensifies, so does the temptation to throw the rules out the window and embrace that attraction. "
Duration: 2h 15 m
Rated: PG-13
Ratings: 7.2/10 via IMDb. 54% via Rotten Tomatoes. 5/5 via Facebook. 96% of Google users liked this movie.
With that being said, I give this movie a 8.2/10, and here's why. I personally really enjoyed the movie, I sobbed like a baby through 90% of it. I thought the actors and the crew did an amazing job with it (especially Cole Sprouse, have you seen him?) But the reason I only gave it a 8.2, instead of a 9 or a 10, is the fact it felt very, predictable. Like, don't get me wrong, there were a few (very sad) moments that threw me for a loop, but it overall felt predictable. I was also getting very strong 'The Fault In Our Stars' vibes from it, but at the same time, it's very difficult to make a movie about two sick teens dialling in love, and it not seem very Fault in our Stars like. But in general I enjoyed the movie, like I said earlier I cried like a baby.
So, with that being said, I would recommend, but only if you're down to cry. (Unless your heartless)
