While many today think of BBQ, sales, and the start of summer I recognize what today is. It is #MemorialDay the day to which to honor and remember those who served their country and died while serving. In the first image is shown the image of my great-great uncle, Bud who died in October 1918 during #WWI . Also, in the same image is the grave marker of Capt Samuel Allyn who lost his life during the Battle of Groton Heights at @fortgriswold on September 6th 1781 during the #americanrevolutionarywar . In the second image is of the tomb of the Unknown #CivilWar Soldiers at @arlingtonnatl under the marker holds the remains of close or over 2,000 bodies of those found among the many battlefields unrecognized and unclaimed.
