truly some people have no genre savviness whatsoever. A girl came back from the dead the other day and fresh out of the grave she laughed and laughed and lay down on the grass nearby to watch the sky, dirt still under her nails. I asked her if she’s sad about anything and she asked me why she should be. I asked her if she’s perhaps worried she’s a shadow of who she used to be and she said that if she is a shadow she is a joyous one, and anyway whoever she was she is her, now, and that’s enough. I inquired about revenge, about unfinished business, about what had filled her with the incessant need to claw her way out from beneath but she just said she’s here to live. I told her about ghosts, about zombies, tried to explain to her how her options lie between horror and tragedy but she just said if those are the stories meant for her then she’ll make another one. I said “isn’t it terribly lonely how in your triumph over death nobody was here to greet you?” and she just looked at me funny and said “what do you mean? The whole world was here, waiting”. Some people, I tell you.

Melkor: Last night you texted me like a hundred heart emojis.

Mairon: Out of anger!

The Throne Room… it fits the overall somber mood in ma head. There’s possibly a throne room back there behind these two in all that intense blackness anyways. So, there’s, like, at least 18 “faces” in this thing… 20 if you count Melkor and Mairon’s faces. I would have added more if I hadn’t run out of surface area to work with. =C 

Mairon, you can keep that outfit for a good chunk of DS. Complete with concealing hood attachment (Caution: concealing hood attachment not depicted) but Melkor, dude… no way in hell am I redrawing your fancy ass attire and matching weapon.

A winter scene of our fav Angbang couple…I mean Angband Lords in a forestry setting. Doesn’t look half as good as I hoped for, and doesn’t even come close to the awesomeness that is Rae’s part ;O; But I had fun trying out other brushes than usual and force myself to stick to them. Also I heavily oriented on the designs that Rae gave the two, though I probably screwed that up, too. And OMG Melkor will you stop eating his face!! Anyway, thanks again for that amazing trade. I hope it won’t be the last one! Btw, people. it's not always so dark in angband

Melkor hates when he has to send Mairon away to Angband and then Tol in Gaurhoth. He hates when they are apart. But Mairon is the only one who can be trusted to that level. Mairon is the only one who can speak for Melkor because Mairon is the only one who fully knows him. So he has to send Mairon away when Melkor's power and work needs to be spread out. Because Mairon alone shares in Melkor's power.

Mairon and Melkor both struggle asking for help. For Melkor it is because needing anything is weakness, and he can't handle the idea of having any weakness. For Mairon it is because he believes he is perfect and the idea of not being able to do everything himself is horrifying and unfathomable.

Thankfully with each other they never have to ask. They both know what the other needs at all times. Mairon just knows and does whatever it is Melkor needs, not allowing Melkor to resist. No words necessary, just doing what needs to be done.

And Melkor figures out how to make Mairon believe that Melkor's help is actually Mairon helping Melkor. Telling Mairon he's tired and does not want to sleep alone when Mairon has been up for days working and is completely exhausted. Giving Mairon new challenges to take his mind off anything worrying him.
