My Journey to Escape the War in Gaza

My name is Abdelmajed. I never imagined I’d be sharing my story like this, but life in Gaza has become unbearable. I am a survivor of the war here, and in the blink of an eye, everything I once knew—my home, my safety, my community—was ripped away from me.

The war has transformed Gaza into a graveyard of broken dreams. The buildings that once stood as symbols of life and resilience are now piles of rubble. Every corner is filled with the echoes of explosions. Every moment is shrouded in uncertainty. There is no security. There is no stability. There is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Basic needs have become luxuries. Food is scarce. Clean water is even scarcer. Hospitals are overwhelmed and under-resourced, and there is almost no medical care to be found. Every night, families go to bed hungry, praying they’ll wake up to see another day. The cost of basic necessities has skyrocketed, and it’s become a daily battle just to survive.

I’ve seen things I never thought possible—standing in long lines for a piece of bread, rationing every drop of water, and watching my people suffer in silence. I have lost everything—my home, my safety, my dignity.

Escape from Gaza is my only hope, but it’s almost impossible without financial help. The cost of evacuation is far beyond my means, and without support, I’m trapped in a warzone with no way out.

I’m reaching out to you now, in the hopes that someone, anyone, can help. I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for a chance—just a chance—to live. A chance to escape this never-ending cycle of fear, destruction, and loss. A chance to rebuild my life somewhere safe, where I can begin again, where I can find hope once more.

Any amount you can give will help me get closer to safety. Even the smallest donation will make a difference—it could be the lifeline I need to survive. If you are unable to donate, please share my story. The more people who hear it, the better the chance that I can find the support I desperately need.

Hi everyone, Tile here, under more ideal circumstances, you would have gotten everything I wanted to do for the anniversary all at once, but due to my personal life becoming far more busy than I'd like, the content for this year is going to be spread out over the rest of the month.

The following is mostly going to be a few thoughts of mine, over the history of this project, and about a few personal anecdotes. If you don't care about that, feel free to just look at the art up there, it was made by VeggieUTDR.

I would like to start things off by thanking those of you who have decided to still follow this project. What started out as a stupid joke made to spite someone had transformed into a project that is incredibly personal to me. One that I, come hell or high water, will see through it to its completion, one way or another.

8 years feels like an incredible amount of time. A lot of things happened to me, and some things stayed relatively the same. It's part of why I've decided to never really cancel this. By the time Rupturedtale started, it was during the boom of Undertale AU Sprite Comics, it was a project among many of those, and one that would surely fade just like a good chunk of them.

That never really happened, though, as I'm currently talking to you. As corny as this may sound, there is a part of me inside of this thing. And it's a part of me I cannot bring myself to hurt. This whole story is about hurt, really, it'd be cruel to put it out of its misery when it can become something truly beautiful.

If you're wondering why it's taken so long, besides my life in general being busy, it's because I've spent a lot of time developing some personal projects with some good friends of mine. Ones that for the time being aren't really meant for the public eye. Creating those memories is important to me, and they will also shape how some of the things in this project are going to be.

You might get to catch a glimpse at one of them.

There isn't anything of major substance that I can show right now, the Date itself has things that will be better off being shown in their proper context. And its overall script needs to undergo revision before it can be put into game form. In the event of complete and utter catastrophic failure, you can expect it to come out in comic form instead.

In general, for the projects that are made by my hand (and the very lovely people who help said hand), I will be publishing a roadmap of what to expect in the future. There are a lot of things that I want to do, and I'm very eager to show them to you. I just need to get to them first.

Again, I'm incredibly grateful for your patience, there's not a lot of you out there, I'm aware, but for the ones that still are, I promise you're gonna get what you've been looking for.

If there is anything I've learned the past few years, is that my love for this game will never truly die, I will be thinking about it for the rest of my life.

Though, that doesn't mean I will only create under its own shadow.

You can't just play with the same toy over and over again, you know.

You'd want something new.

I’m considering dropping the Google Docs version of Storyshift so it can be more contained on one single platform, namely Ao3. This has the added benefits of having the whole series together in one spot and less people spamming my email asking to edit the fanfic after it’s posted. What do you guys think?

Now this is epic.

People don’t get it

This has been a major issue in the fandom for ages and I think it’s enough that I make an in-depth post about it, because this is something I just can’t ignore anymore.

As a disclaimer, I’m not saying you can’t hate Asgore and that he’s a perfect cinnamon roll who didn’t kill any children. I am fully aware of that part of his character and in fact I even get frustrated myself when people deny the fact he has killed six children, because they’re quite honestly taking a majorly important part of his character away, and it’s something I find tragic about him.

But then you have people who treat posting stuff like “asgore is so cute!! he is a precious cinnamon roll i love him” as if it’s bad to draw him in a fluffier setting. Because somehow, that takes away the important part of his character in his story.

Things aren’t black and white.

You can hate Asgore all you want and STILL not be a dick about it. 

You can be frustrated too because there ARE people out there who do treat him as if he’s a perfect precious cinnamon roll who did no wrong. 

This is honestly coming from someone who didn’t think Asgore crits are something to lose sleep over, but I’m tired of seeing so many people, including myself, get shit on just because we post something that doesn’t scream about him killing six children. 

“But Pixie!” I hear you cry angrily. “Just block out the hate and ignore it!”

It’s honestly hard to ignore it nowadays when you have people constantly going after you and into the tag to “remind” everyone, whenever they call him a good father or they mention that they love him. So no, I’ve gotten to a point— as well as many others— where I feel as though it’s important to address this issue. Because ignoring it sure as hell doesn’t make the extremist antis disappear overnight.

People have a responsibility to act respectfully, and when people act petty they’re gonna get called out for it. 

So stop going after people who like him and enjoy his character and post nice things about him. If that bothers you that much, then you need to practice what you preach and block the tag entirely instead of bitching about people doing those things. Hell, block people themselves if you need to! 

The reason I say all of this is is as well because he is my comfort character. He has helped me cope when I lost all hope in a shitty situation that could have emotionally destroyed me forever. He’s like the father I really wished I had, and not my abusive father. And I’m sure that goes the same for lots of other people too.

Anon Hate IS Illegal.

Guys, I’m not kidding.

Suicide-baiting, cyberharassmemt, cyberstalking, death/rape threats, and hate speech are illegal in all 50 states as well as Australia and the UK.

Some places include school suspension or expels. Some even include jail time for multiple years.

And yes, they can find someone by username or IP alone.

Also, yes. There are methods of catching someone’s IP. Even under a VPN.

So.

Next time you get hit with anon hate?

Casually remind them you can very easily take this to the next level. And they can earn jail time while you lay back in your chair, having saved yourself and everyone else from a violent criminal.

Your online actions have real life consequences.

Make sure they learn that.

(Just in case there’s a “the police wouldn’t do that” - Yes. They absolutely would.

Or a “I can handle it.” No. That person will continue to harass others as well. And one of them may not be as strong as you. So do it for them and everyone else.

Or a “It’s not that severe.” Yes. It is. People have died because of this. It really is that severe.)

Take action. And make sure the lives of these bullies are truly wrecked.
