the figure was instantly familiar when the door opened, despite the hooded cloak providing a good amount of shadow to hide their face. it helps to have the keen senses of a witcher, which can be really useful if one happens to be in a bit of a bind.

she waits until the other takes a seat across from her, one corner of her mouth twitching upwards as she takes a sip of her ale⸺it's not the best but honestly, she'll take anything after dealing with a group of griffins. "good to see ya around, cee. what brings you to this part of the continent?"

briefly went into the military, got through basic training and was in the midst of going through her second tour when she was critically injured. as a result of her injuries, she ended up being discharged from the military.

joined terrasave as a means to help her adjust being a civilian once more.

has several scars from the vârcolac attack, the two biggest ones being one on the left side of her abdomen from its claws and another on her right shoulder from where it bit her.

she has scars. fortunately she has managed to avoid getting them on her face but she has a nasty scar on her left side of her abdomen from a way-too-close encounter with a griffin in her early teens before she met vesemir.

loves loves LOVES being read to, loves hearing stories, tales and songs since she is unable to read due to her altered vision. she always makes sure to attend bardic competitions and anything theatre-related if she happens to be in the area.

tends to travel on foot most of the time as her running speed can easily keep up with a horse for a decent amount of time.

the night of sera's birth was one of the coldest nights that winter season, with some even saying that it was the coldest night of the century. not only that, a vicious storm was hitting the area of the blue mountains of hertch, including a tiny village just slightly off to the east. the storm had been going on for days, one of the longest of that year by far and for one woman in the midst of labour, it almost felt like an eternity.

at last, at the midnight hour and the moon completely eclipsed, the wail of a newborn infant filled the air—and the storm outside suddenly ceased its insistent chaos. the wind that once threaten to rip off the roofs of the buildings and shook the very foundations of the houses within the village was now gone, leaving an eerie silence only disturbed by the infant.

unfortunately that peace didn't last for long, the woman's father, a large imposing man, already upset with his daughter being pregnant out of wedlock and very superstitious, took the newborn from her and gave her to a wetnurse so that his daughter wouldn't bond with the baby any further.

the once peaceful calm outside then suddenly roared back into the storm that was beating down on the area from before. however, the intensity of the blizzard didn't seem to bother the infant, who had calmed down after being fed and slept on peacefully throughout the night.

it wouldn't be long afterwards that the baby, named sera by her mother, was sold off to a mage who was passing through the area when he heard of a rumor of a baby being born under the red moon. he took her back to the others, intending to use sera as a future test subject for their project to replicate the trials that created witchers.
