i'm writing a canon au & i'm seriously stuck on trying to figure out a cause of death for ben brown because there isn't one & seeing as there is about only two other people i know that are aware of the character ben brown there's no “popular” headcanon for how he died so honestly, if anyone could offer some suggestions i would greatly appreciate it & would 100% give credit when i write my fanfiction because i've tried, i really have tried to come up with something but i'm just finding it so difficult 😩

the thing is as well is that i am trying to make it a character death where i have the option to ✨risen mitten✨ him at some point in the future & be a functional undead character so i need a death where there's no major visible wounds like no causes where: he's been ripped apart by a weevil, face has been destroyed/skull blown out because i just cannot picture ben wearing hats.

for ages i thought i'd got a good idea with like a poison or airborne poison but i didn't want it to be too similar to ianto's canon death.

i then got a rather ridiculous idea of a malevolent alien goo where if people touch it they die & there's like a vat of it where ben accidentally got splashed with some by villain of the chapter but i then got worried that it was too much of a 🎶stupid death🎶 because i want the death to be emotional.

the whole reason for this basically is because i am unhinged & saw the grand total of ✨2✨ lines in a torchwood novel about a character called ben brown who was apparently jack's only other employee at torchwood when suzie got recruited. he's mentioned twice in two sentences in this one novel & he is dead, they put him in cold storage that is all we know about the character but because my brain would just not let go of the fact that for some time torchwood was just jack & this character called ben before suzie came along & they became a trio i have to write about him, i have to give him a presence in my canon au because it just opened a can of worms for me i mean could his death have influenced suzie's collection to the glove? did he & jack desire one another carnally after a two man weevil take down on a dark cardiff night? i even made a moodboard about the guy.

so after months of trying to figure this element of my fanfiction out i am finally cracking & asking (pleading) the good people of tumblr for help because my brain won't let me proceed with any more chapter planning until i figure this out so any help is greatly appreciated!

for those who have seen abigail 2024 can you spoil something for me because i am in greece so i will not be able to see the film for a fortnight so it's potluck if the cinema near me will even show it when i get home. i have put a spoiler tag on this post so feel free to tell me here.

does count dracula actually show up? & if so who's playing him?

even if it's just a brief cameo or part of a backstory i'm still interested especially as it's about a version of the vampire that has a child. my favourite modern version of dracula has count dracula with two kids so i am really invested in this 🧛🏻‍♂️
