i'm glad you asked this question, because tbh this year has been kind of rough so far 😅 so it's nice to look back and find the joy: i'm so grateful for my friends, who carried me through it and kept me laughing every day.

i'll never shut up about piandao being abandoned by his parents for being a nonbender. all of a sudden every skill he's mastered and all his wealth and renown is the result of a deep-seated desire to prove himself worthy just as sokka is trying to do in his episode and every mentoring kind word to sokka is him seeing his younger self in the boy at his door and deciding to be the father figure he never had. all of a sudden it makes perfect sense that he is sokka's master because he will understand sokka on a deep level few will. it makes me INSANE
