Thank god somebody finally said it
Eragon was a terrible film but thank fuck Murtagh looked like Murtagh in my head (and kicked off my weird thing for men with long black hair)

So I was rereading my notes, flipping through the first book, and I found THIS
“... but then, our Murtagh is full of rage and bloodlust, he is. He would tear out the throat of a Kull with his bare hands if I gave him the chance, and I have.”
Galbatorix, chapter “The Hall Of The Soothsayer” p.425
I mean... aren’t we gonna talk about it, guys?! Anyone?

Still, the display of love in the inheritance cycle is among the most credible ones I’ve ever read. This includes many types of love, not only relationships between lovers but friendship and family ties, too.
Paolini did a great job here
I really enjoyed the concept of love in The Inheritance Cycle. In a lot of novels love is a fundamental part of the story and it puts the action in motion. In The Inheritance Cycle love isn’t really fundamental. It’s not the core of the action or the story. It’s just a genuine human attitude that’s just happens, that’s all.

The only problem I had with Eragon and Saphira’s egg is that HE FUCKING SHOOK IT ALL THE TIME LIKE HE WAS TRYING TO MAKE A MILKSHAKE OUT OF IT. And that's it. Have no problem whatsoever with his other choices
I know that it's super popular to rag on Eragon for being a dunce and almost everyone does it as a good hearted joke, but sometimes it goes too far! I'm putting my fists up and defending my boy!!!
One of the most common digs and the one I'll always hate is about how Eragon tried to sell Saphira's egg for meat. But look at what Eragon knows at that point:
-The stone was almost certainly transported through magic
-Magic is dangerous
-This happened in the Spine which is known for being treacherous and supernatural
-A magician powerful enough to do this would likely be powerful enough to track the stone down
-Magicians are very dangerous
-Because this happened, I didn't bag any game which my family desperately needs
Natural, logical, intelligent conclusion: I should try to barter the stone for meat to rid myself of a potentially risky artifact and to get my family food we need to survive the winter.
Eragon does a lot of foolish things but stop pretending this is one of them! (ง •̀_•́)ง!

Eragon: Stop lecturing me, Brom! I’m so fed up with your instructions and stupid pebble exercise! Your advice is no use to me like AT ALL! I’m a mighty dragon rider and can use MAGIC! I can easily kill Raz’zac and Galb and.... whoever I want to! Honestly, I’d be perfectly fine by myself, thank you very much! Why can't you just leave me alone, boomer?!

For some reason I’m sure that this book is another IC book. I can be wrong, but a girl can dream.
P.s. Gird your loins. Like for real, man? They've been girded since the day you first published!

We need that damn fanfiction, guys!
We. Need. It.
I’m in a desperate need to have canon facts about Brom and Selena’s love story. The fact that she was dark, the fact that she wasn’t happy and found love in the worst time of her life, the fact that they were both rebels, the fact that they had a secret affair, the fact that they loved each other so much consumes me. We know just a few things about them. But I’m 100% sure their love story was EPIC, I will never shut up about them.
